Allies options

So, beside obvious choice of Eldars as Battle Brothers, did anyone actually tried in competitive game, any Desperate Allies?
We can have:
- CSM for Helldrake, maybe few Nurgle Squads and Obliterators.
- Demons for Soul Grinder, maybe some flying Prince
- GK for some cheap razorbacks with psybolt ammo, Coteaz, Dreadknight
- IG for Vendetta squadrons, Manticores, griffons etc, maybe some Vets in Chimeras
- Orks for I have no idea what
- Space Wolves for Drop Pods with Grey hunters, Rune Priests with Jaws, Long Fangs
- Tau for Riptide as AA, Broadsides and Skyray
- Space Marines for Drop Pods again, Devastators, maybe cheap Predators.

Of course these are just few options, for me because I lack of Anti-Air and Im afraid of Serpent Spam, I will probably choose Tau or Eldar as allies. But maybe you guys had some success with other choices? If yes, which units proved themself?

I tried Coteaz with Purifiers when Allies first came for midfield denial. Not a fan of that combo anymore.

How about a Big Mek with a Shokk Attack Gun and a Deff Dread as a troop choice for orcs. Either that or a mob of Boyz and some Loota's.

Ive done Daemons, IG, and SM

Daemons I did a KoS, max squad of daemonettes, and a DP w/ wings and the whip. It was decent, but it felt odd in my opinion to have foot models. Atleast they were able to keep up with us.

IG I did a vendetta, 1 command squad in chimera, 1 melta vets in chimera, and a manticore. Was nice to have a decent arty and plane, as well as the AV12 bodies. I liked it. Sadly didnt feel like I got enough out of my troops and HQ pick.

SM I did Shrike and a squad of infiltrating TH/SS termies, and min scouts. Was awesome to have such a rock hard unit to draw fire. Worked amazingly. Also did a drop pod sternguard squad w/ Petro to make them scoring. Was amazing as well as people ignored them as they were "desperate allies" until I told them how it worked

Pedro makes them scoring. But are they still denial units? I think not.
