Think of a unit that we all know they kinda are expensive for what they do, awesome looking, scary looking and very good in CC but when we start to compare Incubi, Beast packs, wyches and other CC units well there you have it. Now we all know our vehicles are open topped, which is good and bad in its ways.Smile Think of Harlequins charging out of a raider with full harlequin kisses at lets say a termy squad. You may think Rending so what, i need a 6 to wound to get it. Ya charge , harlequins have 4 attacks on the charge, troupe master 5 lets say we have 8 harlequins thats 37 attacks on average, 16 wounds on average, 6 beeing Ap2 ya, Terminator squad go bye bye.plus forcefeeding him saves like its no tommorrow. These guys are nasty and tryed them many times although they may be 18 points per model what you get out of them is gold not to mention they get shrouded and stealth from the shadowseer(veil of tears).

If that raider explodes (which know raiders it will) you will on average lose 4.4 harlequins as they only get their invulnerable save against the explosion. Putting them in a raider negates their main advantage and that is stealth + shrouded (at leas in this incarnation of the rules).

37 WS5-6  S4 attacks against WS4 T4 will on average inflict 12.33 wounds 4.1 of wych will be rending (hitting on a 3+ wounding on a 4+).

22 points per model if you want rending as you need to by them each a harlequins kiss.

Harlequins were very strong when eldar allies could reliably give them fortune (2+ re-rollable cover save is very powerful). However since the new eldar codex that is no longer the case.

I will wait for FAQ before using them.

As Mush says, they couldnt have Fortune reliably now, and old Veil of Tears is better protection.
Even thou it is nerfed and must be cast and cant be active one first turn if you are going second.

Overall Harlies are nerfed since the new Eldar Codex release.
