| Hey, working on a quirky competitive list and I really like the jetbikes fluff and rules wise, I've got a few problems with building the list, namely what to take in the troops and HQ slot in the DE (primary) detachment.
Here's what I have so far
HQ
Archon - shadow field, venom blade
Troops
5 warriors - raider
5 warriors - raider
Fast attack
6 Reavers + 2 heat lances
6 Reavers + 2 heat lances
6 Reavers + 2 Caltrops
Heavy Support
Ravager + night shields
Ravager + night shields
ELDAR ALLIES
HQ
Farseer + bike, spear, mantle ( 1 roll on divination, 2 telepathy)
Warlock + spear, bike Warlock + spear, bike
Troops
9 Bikes + 3 cannons
9 Bikes + 3 cannons
Fast attack
6 spears + exarch, star lance, hit+run, disarming strike
I have nooooooooooooo idea what to do with the troops and HQ for the DE, but the rest seems fairly solid imho, opinions?
cheers lovlies,
Maxipad

| One way of matching speed of jetbike army could be Baron + Hellion troops. Its no jetbikes, but it's the same general feel.
As for you Eldar allies. Warlocks are illegal unless eldar is primary attachment so you'll need to remove those. Old eldar codex they were allowed to be run this way. (See Englands Dark Eldar players' list for the upcoming ETC)
Not sure how viable this is, but it sure looks fun to play! SWOOOOSH, SWOOOOOSH

| I would advice to use Blasters on all Reavers and maybe reform them to 2x 9 strong squads. Blasters have the needed range. With heatlances you need to be in charge range for them to be effective.
As for the troops, might as well try Hellions but I'm afraid that making them troops only makes the a juicer target.
What about a single Heamy so you can make 3 wracks squads scoring. You could even pop one or two in a venom to have mobility and anti infantry/MC shooting.
If my calculations are right: removing the Archon + Warriors could net you Heamy + LG and 5x 3 wracks. In trade for those warlocks you can add Venoms or Raiders.
I would like to test something like this too, as Eldar bikes are just so fast!

In this list everything is juicy. Might as well use juicy troops as well, divert some fire of other juicy targets as there is no real targets you want to get shot up. Spread the love!

| One of your warriors troops is illegal. You need 10 warriors to get a cannon. otherwise it looks fun. | |

| If you do run the Duke might as well put some Splinter Racks on the Raider.
He could also start deployment with the 10 warriors but don't embark them on the raider. First turn: first embark the 9 warriors, then embark the 10 warriors and have Duke join the nine. Now you can still do full moves with your raiders and shoot.
My feeling is that this list lacks AT and is very vulnerable to flamers and ignore cover. On the other hand, the mobility is great with this list, so it might work because you can deny (avoid) a part of your enemies army. I'm convinced that you could better have 2x 9 Reavers and upgrade a Arena Champion with Venom Blade. That way the could doe more damage in CC.

I'm not sure what the purpose of this move would be - is it to benefit from splinter racks? Either way, you can't embark nine of the ten warriors on a transport. BRB, page 78 - "The entire unit must be embarked on the Transport if any part of it is - a unit cannot be partially embarked or be spread across multiple transports."

| @Mr Believer:
I'm referring to his two squads of Warriors: one of 9 and one of 10. He could deploy the Duke with the squad of then and than move into the raider of 9 warriors. In the mean while the 10 warriors move into their own Raider.
It is a nice upgrade to have splinter racks to enhance the 10 warriors with the Duke's Serpent Venom even further. RR to hit and improved poison should give their fire power a serious boon. Sadly there are no easy point costs, as far as I see.
