2 lists 1750. which one is better?

Hi there fellow gamers.

I will be attending at least 3 tourneys in the next few months (TSHFT Vancouver, Foodhammer and the Vegas open) and need some help deciding on an army list for my Dark Eldar/Eldar army. I would love any c&c on either list.

3 trueborn w/ 2 Scannons  (for more dakka) will hide initially if I think my opponent will get first blood from them.

TROOP
5 wyches w/ haywire grenades
Venom w/ Duel Scannons

5 Kabalites
Venom w/ Duel Scannons, Grisly trophies (mostly for re-rolling failed psyc tests for the seer)

5 Kabalies
Venom w/ Duel Scannons

FAST ATTACK
Beast pack w/ 5 masters, 7 hounds, 6 flocks

HEAVY SUPPORT
2x Ravangers w/ both have 3 Dlances each.

Void Bomber w/ 2 shattershard missles, Flickerfield. (always useful for horde control and focus firing behind agis lines)


Eldar Allies
HQ
Farseer w/ Jetbike, Singing spear, Shard of Anaris (for fearless beast pack, great with the baron for hit and run.)

TROOP
2x3 GJB

FAST ATTACK
6 Warp Spiders

HEAVY SUPPORT
Wraithknight w/ Wraith Cannons. (supports beast pack and my battle line where needed.)

I want to try a wraith knight as I think it will synergize well with my beast pack and give my opponent to nasty targets to have to deal with right away instead of just the beast pack.

This list looks solid as it had a good amount of AT/AI and some air defence and big blasts for horde control.

The Dark Eldar part of the list is basically the same except no Void bomber or Trueborn and more Eldar. so here is my 2nd list

Farseer w/ Jet bike, Singing spear, Shard of Anaris (for fearless-beasts lose oftain enough so I'd rather not run all the times. people pop a flock with ID and they get 5 wounds)

ELITE
5 Wraithguard w/ Dsythes.  
Wave Serpant w/ Twin Scatter lasers and Holo-fields.(great for AI and defening my lines. also good for my initial alpha strike/decoy/bait to take pressure off of my other forces when needed). the serpent adds a nice boost of fire power to my army as well.

TROOP
2x3 GJB

FAST ATTACK
5 Warp Spiders

HEAVY SUPPORT
2 war walkers w/ 2 scatter lasers each

This list lacks some AA, but has a little more AI (walkers/Serpent/Dsythe), and more light/medium AT (war walkers and the serpent) firepower which may end up being better in the long run.
Like I said this army lacks any real AA against av12 flyers, but I think I would be ok without it. the beast pack  has little support in the form of the wraithknight like in list one. But with the beast pack being fearless from the seer and having a fast army this may not be that big of a deal.




So guys and gals which list do you prefer and which would scare you more if you played against it?

Colin, Chris has dropped Foodhammer to 1500 for this year.

I would lean towards the 2nd list. I can't speak for Vegas, and obviously TSHFT is a new presence up here, but personally I find that flyers aren't so prevalent locally and would focus elsewhere on AI and light/medium AT.

I don't know who you played, but at WCGT I played Tau twice with one Barracuda and one Sun Shark, and three power armour armies on foot, only one of which had two Stormtalons.

I fought a couple helldrakes.

Yes, I will see you there. I was sitting on the fence for a while for personal reasons, but then won the free pass at WCGT. Woot!

However, it's time for my gribblies to have a turn on the tabletop again.

Some new faces in town, too. Should be fun.
