| Fourth and final member of my Eldar themed Execution Force. Behold the Beil-Tan Callidus: I went really simple, and to be honest I'm somewhat concerned I went TOO simple, but I basically just took a Guardian's body and trimmed it right down. I removed all of the gems and some of the asrmour padding, and added much bulkier shoulders down into a new chestplate. I'm considering adding a thorn motif to the armour paint-job before I seal it so we'll see if it does change. At this stage though, thats the Execution Force done and ready. __________________________________________________________ As an update, I'm now turning my thoughts to what in the city my next project will be. I;ve got the groundwork of a Plasma Annhilator ready, and now is the right time of year to get the orb for the main cannon part, but I've been lacking inspiration on that lately. I've turned my thoughts to other things, and have decided on at least three future projects: > Seer Council - to bring the psychic to my army, planned as all Jetbike riders, but modelled as anti-grav platforms each holding a Farseer or Warlock in chains being prodded by a Kabalite Warrior. > Aspect Shrine - to bring a little more allied force and to have a bit of fun, I'm looking at three Warp Spider units. They will likely be heavily Dark themed, possibly done up as a different Kabal to my usual or designed in a different way. Theres a temptation to build them as strange armoured, gun totting Mandrakes, but I haven't got that fully fleshed out yet. > Voidravens - I've been using my Razorwings as proxy Voidravens recently to try them out, and found them SO useful. So I may finally get around to building two larger flyers as Voidravens. At the moment, I'm looking at the Super-Star-Destroyer as inspiration for design style. | |

| A very quick addition of some more Warriors from the pile of Warriors, bringing the total up to 65. This actually leaves me with only five unpainted Warriors, and thats all the Dark Eldar I have left on my table. I'm definitely going to need something new to work on...... Anyway, very simple Sybarite on the left, special weapon guy on the right, the usual mix of parts from all over. | |

| Eeewwwww.........
Yeah, leaning that way. The only thing I have immediate interest in is a Seer Council and Warp Spider Aspect Host. So I'm looking into what to convert to make them particularly interesting. I have part of my plan for the Seers, but need to find the right bodies for the actual Seers and Warlocks themselves. I considered Wood Elves (I want dynamic poses) but I'm not sure they look quite right.

| As a favour for a friend, I spent part of this morning getting some supplies and LEDing up the crystal for his newly acquired Monolith: And a fun challenge that was, consdering he got it second hand and to get that hole done in the top I had to dismantle part of it. ______________________________________________________ While I was out getting the light, I picked up a few supplies for myself so I could get my Plasma Obliterator done. The main elements needed are the primary cannon/eyeball, and a nice LED light to make it shine. Being that time of year, I think I find a suitable ball. A few extra bits (the end piece of a kaleidoscope from a christmas cracker and a small wall vent) went into making the housing for the top of the PlasOb tower. And a quick mockup of how the ball-cannon will sit. I plan to put the light fitting through the back of the ball here so it can shine outward. The outer part of the ball will be textured and made into an eyeball, with a platform surgically grafted in for a firer. The main stem under the housing area will be bulked out with ribbed tubes/wires. I'll probably add a Warrior or two on the platform (made by the vent) overseeing and managing some of the wires. | |

| I'm thinking, but am not certain yet, of putting a clear iris over the front of the eyeball. What do you think? Round off the sphere, or keep thr indented style of the bauble? | |

| I have a few hours this morning before going off for a long job over the next couple of days, so sitting here bored I put together another part of the PlasOb. So first of all, a platform. THis little platform will be on the side of the eyeball cannon, and provide a place for an "operator" to stand, likely with some kind of long shocky-stick thing to make the eyeball fifre its massive plasma burst. I've also addes a bit of bulk to the main column. Todays material of choice being straws and toothpicks, which together I think actually make a decent effect. You get the slight spikiness of modern Dark Eldar, with some ribbed sections to the pillars to add texture. I've given this whole thing a layer of PVA glue so far, and will probably give it a second later to give it stability and a better surface to point over. | |

| Been awhile since I check in on this project Squid and as always I'm not disappointed. Super ambitious projects... all of them completed! I'm working on Eldar fortificatons as well, really easy cheap stuff nothing as crazy as what you are work on. Anyways seriously impressive stuff bro, keep on rocking man can't wait to see what you are going to dream up next. | |

| @Cavalier Thanks a lot. Appreciate it. When it comes to fleshy things, PVA glue and toilet roll has become a favourite material. I;ve started to add the outer texture for the eyeball cannon. I've about added the first layer, and I plan to add one more before I start adding various wires and pieces of machinery to show that the eyeball has been co-opted for use as a massive plasma cannon. Still undecided on whether to put a clear iris over the front of the eye. In other news, I've settled on a proper Voidraven as a next project, and started throwing some design ideas together. I'm quite drawn to the cleek arrow-point idea, somewhat reminiscent of a super star0destroyer. The central area which on a SSS would have tower-like things can became the main crew bay with a space for pilot, lances, missiles and bombs. Maybe even a Planet-Killer style hold in the middle to house a magnetised Void Mine? Another thought was to make the Voidraven a bulkier vessel designed more for spatial battle. The thoughts there would be based on a Tie Fighter Oppressor variant. I would extend the hull of the Oppressor so the ship was longer head to tail, with a visible crew compartment at the front. The side plates could be made much spikier, and the whole thing would have a look kind of like a missile. | |

| On the Plasma Obliterator, I decided to go with an iris. I did a little painting around the lip of the orb, and added in a clear cap from a "make your own picture frame bauble" thingy. The plan is to bring the flesh of the eyeball round a bit to overlap the join and seal in the iris. The picture here also shows how it works with the LED on. THe one flaw in this overall design is that the LED is not accessible, so once the battery fails, thats it. And I've added the platform. I'll likely add some sort of clamps around it edge to show how its been attacked to the side, and add some more wires into the eyeball itself. I'll definitely add some at the back alongside the stump where the LED switch currently is. | |

| Whilst looking around for other things, I came across this image of an Eldar thingy someone converted: I think they were planning to use it as a Vyper or a Hornet, but its very much the sort of idea I'm thinking of going for on my Voidraven. I would probably magnatize a bomb to go in the space in the middle (and obviously make it much larger scale). | |

| @CavalierIf only they were Dark Eldar legal........... Anyway, a quick addition to the Plasma Oblierator, the eyeball now wired up and added to the top of the tower. I think this stage may be done......not sure if I want another spike or two somewhere. There'll be at least one guy with a large stick operating the cannon, so not sure if more is needed. Thoughts? Maybe a couple of spikes/trophy spikes? | |

| Dude... absolutley classic TNG reference, I was really laughing my a** of when you dropped that one. Well played sir, well played.
The Oblterator is looking good my man. I like the idea of a guy controlling it. I'd use the "hand-controller" for the Raider pilot as the interface.
Perhaps instead of spikes, you could have chains and skulls hanging off it. Maybe even bits order some of those skeletons in cages from the Fantasy mortuary terrain.

| Controller for the PlasOb cannon. Basic Kabalite warrior body, back-spike thing, and half the control arms from a Raider gunner to make a little control console thing. Also a large stick with a cubey thing on the end (which will be painted to look electric). And as a bit of an aside, I;ve planned a new, really, really silly 1800pts army. And it will be built ENTIRELY from these materials: EDIT: )and here's a quick sneak peak) | |

We have a winner! 1800pts = 10 Sporefield Formations (each with 3x 2 Spores, 3x 6 Mines)
