| Anybody (UK based preferably to avoid vast shipping costs!) know of any DE specific/easily modded army cases aside from the GW ones and KRmulticase (which looks pretty nifty but is massively expensive)?
Is there any way to avoid this cost? (plugged my army into the KR multicase custom build thing and it came back with £125!) I'm going to have to move pretty soon and I don't want my precious new fragile pointy mateys to get crushed on the way =/
Cheers,

| I am a big fan of the KR cases, I own 5 and a half! Stick to the cardboard cases, then find a suitable bag or rucsac; my daysac holds 1 plus books, enough for 1K5 DE, or 1K Tyranids; my big hiking rucsac easily holds 2.
I use their normal trays for infantry, The pick'n'pluck for Venoms, MCs etc (Flying bases removed); I have 4 raider/ravagers, and I have them loose: half the box, and half the height, with flying bases removed, and the rudders trimmed to be flush with the underside. A soft towel laid over them, and they are good.
If you want to reduce army bag costs, build models with less sticky out bits! I don't do sails, and have magnetised my vehicle guns (also good for Weapon Destroyed results)
I'd also suggest play with a hot wire cutter: find a foam shop (haberdashers, sewing shops, upholsterers, even sofa warehouses), grab some offcuts. Hot wire cutters are as cheap as £5, very easy to use, and fun! Great for making hard foam scenery too.

| But the pointy spiky bits are fun! lol. No, great shout on the carboard though reduced the cost by about 30 quid, pretty easy to shove em in my cushioned sports bag or something. And yeah I've not magnetised anything yet but I've left lots of bits of my vehicles unglued, partially for painting partially for magnetising, so will make things easier!
Guess I'm gonna have to take the plunge! I had thought about hacking out my own from foam but the move back to uni's pretty soon and I *should* be revising for some of my finals, not pottering on here and painting/gluing my models....but there we are XD
Much obliged for the response once more!

| KR Multicase is the only way to fly. I have them, I've used them, and I love them. My Raiders, Venom, and Razorwing wont travel in anything else. | |

| I use Feldherr bought from Wayland Games. I think it is UK based. | |

| I'm a huge Battlefoam fan. Solid stuff, if a bit on the $$$$$ side. | |

| Cheers for all the input guys. Went for the KRmulticase cheapo (ish, still a good 95 quid!) version in the end, as it seemed the best balance between price and making room for future army additions. Gonna have to keep my padded sports bag handy with those cardboard external cases though | |

| Bit late now but you might want to check out the Tabletop Tyrant range at Gifts for Geeks. Very reasonable prices and quite customisable. | |
