Hi all!

I have a 1500pts list that probably need some tweaking and feedback to know if Im heading in the right direction. I would like a competetive (and fun) list to play in tournaments.

The problem I seem to struggle with are objectives. When I play with my mates, it doesn't feel like such a problem but when I go to tournaments, I really find it hard to win games.
This is probably a tactics problem from my side (so Im gonna have to practice this element of the game) but I kind of want to make a list with that in mind.


The tournament scene around here has some restrictions though (komp, which I totally approve) that I want to follow and these are:

No more than 8 vehicles
No more than 4 Venoms
No more than 2 Ravagers

Ok, so now the list (finally):

Ok, I feel I got some explaining to do.
For example, the reason for taking a Achotyst with venomblade is that I modelled it so (but I can probably change that).

I like the splinter racks, kind of because my dice suck...but mostly cuz it can be deadly and makes my opponent fear it.

The stinger pod is probably not better than splinter cannon on the talos but its cheap and I kind of like it the few times I´ve used it.

The tooled up Archon, I like him. He's costy and the combat drugs are maybe a bit overhand but I mostly benefit from them a lot I think. But maybe he's way overpriced for 1500pts?

I wonder about the Splinterborn, should I take blasters instead for some more anti-tank?
Or should I take night shields on the wracks venoms if they wanna sit back and shoot?


So, any ideas, other changes or tips you want to send me my way?

for the wracks with acothyst, either swap the venom for a raider and pop the haemy in with them, or drop a wrack and attach him to that unit. that way they have two liquifiers and two pain tokens at the start, making them reasonably handy in combat against depleted units. the spare points should be enough to get the haemy a power weapon, which with furious charge should be able to net you a few kills.
as for blasters/cannons; depends on your meta, both have their merits!
the talos isnt a great choice here as it's slow compared to the other parts of your army. you could drop the hydra gauntlets and some of the other fat and swap it out for a razorwing, which would give you some skyfire and extra lances + pie plates

I see that I have made mistake with the restrictions I posted, it should be "No more than 8 vehicles". I'll edit that in the original post.

You have some valid points!
Would it be an idea to make the two small units of wracks to a larger unit in a raider and put the heamonculus with them? That way I get the points for a Razorwing instead of the talos and it fits with the vehicle restrictions.

eh... i dunno, it leaves you down to 3 scoring options if you go down that route. I'd rather keep four tbh.
8 vehicles is pretty tight, though we have two units that excel outside of transported troops as per our standard build:
-Beastmasters
-Reaver Jetbikes
when used right, both are powerful fast and fairly durable. It'd require a bit of a rebuild, but would get you decent units outside of your vehicle caps.
