Vect 240 I'm actually mildly amused by the initiative siezing combo you're working here - have you checked with your TO as to how that will work? Do both special rules pair up, or will you have to delegate the role to one commander or the other? Certainly worth double checking just because it's in the 'wtflolomgbbq' sort of zone that will get opponent's crying foul before you get underway - good thing to have sorted out first. I like the combo, if it works it might be worth it. I'll admit I personally don't like setting up second and praying everything will work out so I have first turn simply because I think an optimal go first setup is not an optimal go second setup. Considering the point values I'd probably honestly drop the combo in order to bring a larger force to the field, since Vect costs as much as another HQ+escort squad basically - and as stands your Wych Raider will have a *giant* target on its back. - Quote :

3x Ravanger Flickerfield 115 Ravtastic. - Quote :

Wychs x 7 (vect's bodyguard) Haywire Grenades Raider Flickerfield 154 This is a nice setup other than the aforementioned 'giant target of obvious targeting' on the unit. - Quote :
- 2x Warriors x 5
Blaster Raider Flickerfield 130 Good support unit and you need to be getting troops on the ground - approve. - Quote :

Dreadnaught Twin-Linked Autocannon Twin-Linked Autocannon Psybolt Ammo 135 I don't claim to be brilliant with GK setups, so won't attempt to be too deep on them. My immediate thought is with the amount of psyautocannons here (I presume the Razors are taking autocannons) you seem to have a potent amount of short range shooting, and anti-light mech and infantry shooting. At that point I'm sort of wondering why you're taking Venoms as opposed to Raiders - seems like anti-AV13+ is more generally needed than more anti-infantry. Especially once all those Halberds and Vect pour out into the field. My thoughts, Thor. P.S. No 6 man RJB? (I keed, I keed )

5 scoring units with varying roles should work fine at 2k. 1. Hmm, you're right. I'll just claim you clearly edited the list after my suggestion to save face - there is no chance I messed up because it was late at night and I was tired. None. 2. I take 5-6 at 1850, but, yeah, at least some of your scoring units aren't DE tough. The 'ablative wounds' around Vect are relatively meaningless - what matters is his paper plane. Still, if the combo works he's relatively safe, and if the combo doesn't work you probably won't field him so - no worries.

| So lets go with the combo works for now. Anyone else got an opinion? | |

| Can you intermingle IC's and units/vehicles during setup?
If so I might rethink Vect's delivery method and/or bodyguard.......Vect arriving via Stormraven with Purifiers beats the paper airplane and girlscouts.
-Or-
Get your bud to pony up for just the StormRaven and embark Vect and the Girls in it.

| My thoughts are both of you are light on the troops. I know they do a ton of damage, but one bad match up and its lights out.
My buddy and I recently did doubles with IG and DE. We ran into a GK & Ork army and the 28 lootas ( 2 x 14) wrecked both of us. They didn't have much to go take objectives with, so we were able to contest secondary mission of seize ground, but primary was kill points and it was very bad for us.
Going first will make a big difference as already noted. I'm not super familar with GKs, so I can't really offer any help there.
The only thing I might look at is maybe dropping vect and one of the ravagers and including an archon or succubus and a second unit of wyches. With the combo you have running, I don't know if it works or not, but maybe you already considered it and ruled it out.
All in all I think it is pretty good except for Vect, and I freely admit I am not a fan of vect, so take my opinion with that in mind.
It would be good to know if Vect and ladies can ride in another transport like a stormraven, that certainly does change thngs up quite a bit.

| Ive used vect a lot and he is beastly. I love him and with combo ensures that my team will be going first which is just what we need. 5 scoring units, 3 of which can hit hard should be more than enough. Not to mention the 2 softer ones that I know how to use properly after months of testing. | |
