| Well it looks like GW is taking this time to update all their FAQs. This'll probably turn into a wishlisting thread, but I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what needs FAQing.
I pretty much draw a blank outside of silly things that I know won't be changed (like explosions!).
Though, I can see them negatively impacting shadowfields to stop the re-roll shenanigans.

| They rarely alter existing rules for balance issues so I can't see any changes to things like rerollable saves, battle brother ICs conferring special rules etc. I think we'll just see answers to questions that should have been dealt with in the editing phase prior to publication. A few examples of things that I've e-mailed the GW FAQ team about since the last proper FAQ (a year ago!);
Firing Template and non-template weapons at different targets Do MCs get Smash rule on the attacks made by a Combat Familiar Is the Serpent Shield a weapon that can be destroyed and, if not, can it be twin-linked by a Scatter Laser Does a model on a shielded Skyshield Landing Pad (a Fortification) that is at least 25% obscured from a firing unit receive the 3+ cover save shown on the chart on page 18 of the rulebook, as this is better than the 4+ invulnerable save offered by the shields? Can automated weapons use Interceptor to fire at targets arriving from reserve in the enemy turn? Does a model armed with an Animus Vitae have to actually attack with it to gain any benefits?

| Luckily I saw a quick preview of the new DE FAQ.
1. Phantasm grenade Launchers no longer have any effect for Incubi. Treat them as having no grenades.
2. Mandrakes. Remove the sentences giving them "move through cover" and "infiltrate" they were way overpowered for the price.
3. All lance weapons are now str 6. except for the heat lance, which is now str 4.
4. Reaver Jetbikes can no longer turboboost
5. - (Finally!) You may now assault from a webway portal! (Whoot!) Note that only kabalite warriors can use this ability.
6. Scourges now have jet packs instead of jump packs, however they may only take and use heavy weapons.
That about sums it up....
(not really...) | |

| I'd like to know about the twin-linked serpent shield myself. It always gets played against me as such and I never thought to question it.
On the other hand I always use interceptor to fire at reserves in my enemies turn. There's nothing to indicate it can't. I'd be more interested to know, if two reserves come in must the automated gun fire at the closest model or can it pick? Since it shoots at the end of the movement phase.

| The Troll is strong with Skulnbonz.
I'm interested in seeing some love for Dark Eldar. But I'm not holding my breath.

The argument is that shots from automated fire are resolved at the end of the SHOOTING phase. Intercept is done at the end of the MOVEMENT phase and therefore cannot use automated fire. It's a bit nerdy but someone brought it up and I couldn't find anything to argue against it with.

| -I would love to see assaulting out of a webway portal back -I would be interested to see combat drugs being changed so they actually effect all units with the rule and are compatible with 6th edition changes -I would be delighted to see dark eldar being made fast again, I think that all dark eldar vehicles should be able to fire all weapons on vehicles at full BS while at cruising speed. The fact that this isn't the case is ridiculous for what is meant to be a fast, hard hitting army
However, none of this will happen. Even Phil Kelly has abandoned the DE

| I sincerely doubt the Erratas will change, but a few questions might be cleared up in the FAQ. Changes, I doubt. | |

| Nothing will, they might do a bit of rewording for some of the much older codexes. If there were any changes you could guarantee that GW would try and charge you for it! It would just be a nice surprise if an unlikely one! | |

(not really...) The last one I'd be okay with since they'd have Relentless Dark Lances then.

| Likely FAQs/Erratas:
-I suspect we might see something with respect to the Baron's "Master of the Skies" rule due to the abundance of use the Baron gets in non hellion squads. (either its hellions only or not).
-Harlies will probably be conformed to present Eldar dex.
-Shredder might get Monofilament rule (though i'm not sure if that would actually increase the use of the shredder).
Wish List FAQs/Erratas: (wont be too greedy).
-Vect's weapon is ap 2 OR he has eternal warrior (see not too greedy... i said "or").
-Night shields add 6" to distance for determining effect of night fighting.
-Units with the PGL are not subject to over watch shots OR tormentor grenades are DE version of dirge castors.

| I would just hope that in the quick way WD is being put out, that GW will concentrate on each dex that needs serious help but I don't believe that will ever be the situation. They are just money men now so they just seem to push the stuff that is selling like hot cakes. Hmm, new IG anyone? With a new name? Ha, my DE army is huge and now only collects dust. It would be great to be able to field them again and get any signs of fun out of them but unfortunately they just die. Whoops, sorry for the negative observation.
FAQ is very welcome, when they get around to it. And I also agree with most of what has been posted here especially what Athakar posted.

| Thanks Black however,... I failed to predict no update and therefore I lose.

Granted, not updating the FAQ lends some credence to the new codex rumor for q1-q2 2015.

| Hahahahaha classic GW: "We are working hard to bring the FAQs up to date" All FAQs last updated 2013. So Actually, nothing has happened to any of them. I should get a job at GW, I'm also great at pretending to do work | |

| Dogmar is correct: The FAQ is a cut and paste from last year. Hopefully, like many people are saying is the faqs are still being updated. | |

| I'm a tad confused. Why are the FAQs coming through Black Library now?
(I would guess from the lack of many of the FAQs that the missing ones are the ones actually being updated, and the ones not being changed have been put up for now.)

| Well I'm hoping the ones up right now is due to events coming up (HOPING). Maybe just as place holders.
But a large part of me is going with general consensus and that is Gamesworkshop forgot about the FAQs.
Remember, they are a model company first. (Which is the dumbest stance this company can take btw).
