| GW has released the list of rules that they will be using in tournaments they can be found here. - Quote :
-The points values for armies shall remain the same (1,500). -We will be using the ‘Battle Forged’ rules to select armies, from page 117 of the rulebook. -You can only take the “Combined Arms” Detachment on page 122 once at a Throne of Skulls event. -There will be no other changes to the standard Battle-Forged rules. -We will be using the Eternal War missions as stated in the Events Pack. So looks like Unbound and maelstrom rules are in 7th for narrative games (which makes sense as both are quite chaotic. I also find that now that sides being determined after objective placement and all units scoring (combined with objective secure rules) makes the eternal war mission pretty solid. For example a talos might not have objective secure, but it doesn't need to as it can kill most troops that come near it, etc. All in all I think this will become my staple rule set for pickup games. It looks like a reasonable format for DE.

| This is a very good thing - a lot of gaming clubs and groups in the UK model how they play 40k based on WHW, shame that Escalation will still be rife though. | |

Q: So how would you describe your friendship? A: He's s great guy... you know the sort of guy you can trust whole heartedly not to break the game with an unbound army.

I was thinking along the lines of playing against First Company armies without having to play Death/Loganwing, or Biel-tan lists legally. Although it is true that you'd have to trust your opponent to not bring a "themed" army...."Oh hey, it's a Fire Dragon shrine/Wave Serpent factory Craftworld!"
