First post here in a while. Just wanted a little feedback on my proposed list. I worry I'm tailoring it too much for this super cheesy demon list I keep facing.

CAD: Dark Eldar; 775

HQ:

Archon; Armour of misery, haywire, shadow field, huskblade, soultrap. (I know guys, but he's my Archon and I'm determined to love him in sickness and in health lol. Joins one grot squad with spirit seer for potential LD shenanigans)

Troops:

5 kab warriors in a venom w/dual SC

5 kab warriors in a venom w/dual SC

Fast attack:

RAzorwing w/dual lances and stock missiles

Heavy support:

Ravager w/triple lances (possibly going to convert reapers to use here)

Ravager w/triple lances


Formation: 875

Dark artisan:

Chronos; spirit probe

Talos, ichor injector and SC

Haemonculus; webway portal, flesh gauntlet, nightmare doll, vexator mask (warlord)

Grotesqurie:

Haemonculus; scissor hand, sindriq's sump (goes with other grot squad)

Aberration w/scissor hand and 2 grots in raider w/ aethersails

Not exactly, but it might help if you were a bit more specific on what you want help with.

Like what is this cheesy daemons list?
What other kind of lists do you regularly face?

Oh I'm mostly just asking for a TAC look over. Just glaring general weaknesses. Like the psychic phase, but I'm dark eldar.

As far as the demon list, it's fateweaver, two princes and bel'akor. Standard net.

In my opinion, you have a very well-rounded list. It definately isn't too tailored against daemons. Especially if he isn't running Soul Grinders. I would cut back (a lot) on upgrades for the Archon.

Try upgrading to Splinter Cannon on your Razorwing instead of the lances. That will bring you to 6 poison shots, 6 S5/AP2 shots and a S6 large blast at normal BS against a flying daemon.

He has an soul grinder, And I know my archon is chaff and only more chaff under the FAQ but I just can't bear sending my special little snowflake out there with just a blaster and shadowfield lol

He's my only painted model?

I for one think it's ok to love your archon and give him toys because you think he's cool.

Handily won against new crons. Turns out two boats of grotesque getting turn 2 assaults leaves your paper boats fairly intact. Ended the game minus only 1 ravager.

Impressive shooting first turn took out his triarch stalker with one pen.

Grots killed the nightbringer shard marvelously and the other group held 10 lychguard plus super Orikan for 3 turns before they finally broke and fled (and cut down) thanks to my spirit seer rolling horrify leaving them at an awesome LD5.

I'm pretty happy.

I really like your list. It has a little bit of everything and two big scary units that can tarpit/mince almost everything except for Force/Str 10-wielding foes. Congrats on your victory against the new (nigh unkillable, according to the internet) Necrons. Great work and I'll be interested to see how this list performs against other armies.

I'll keep you updated. I did manage to fail every single 3+save my DA formation was called upon to make. Lost my talos in one round of shooting. Two wounds, Two ones, 4+ fnp, a two and a three. It was frustrating lol.

My RJF caused 24 hits with his missiles on immortals, 20 wounds, 1 dead immortal. Nigh unkillable is pretty accurate...

I'm sorry, no condescension intended! I'm the same way. Any list I play has to have at least one model that I spent way too long converting and painting, that I can give a name and maybe a sentence or two of background to, and that has some stuff to give them some interesting rules and abilities. It may not be point-efficient, but it very much increases my enjoyment of the game.

Congratulations on killing Necrons! I am also all about killing Necrons. I think I have emotional scars from the beatings I took from them back in 3rd ed.

Thank you. They were actually my first army but the play style bored me to tears.

I'm going to be experimenting with harlaquins over Eldar allies.

I'll post the updated list and keep everyone appraised of any future conquests.

Another victory. I meant to record but the phone was low battery so I'll just write up a report perhaps (in the appropriate section).

Minor changes, dropped the allies for a 1500pt game and opponent conceded on turn 3. He offered to let me do my close combats but after he lost 2 terminators to the chronos str 3 flame thrower I just shook his hand.

Might be playing a pure assault game tomorrow. 2k nothing but assault units and transports.
