| In an effort to amalgamate and save my existing project logs, this new thread will bring all my Distractions together with new, slightly safer images that aren't being hosted by a moronic company! Yay!
To save space and make things easier on your eyes, I'm going to start with a simple catalogue of my previous Distractions, linking to each project on my Tumblr blog.
Once this catalogue is complete, I'll once again start posting here with new Distraction projects!

| Here's a new addition, a gang of Redemptionists! They've been built for Necromunda (though may have to jig around when the new rules come out) but designed to also work as an Inquisitor and band of Acolytes. The Fanatics, the lower two images, will be a unit of Flagellants. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| Love the Redemptonists Squidmaster the colours scheme in particular works really nicely. The orangey highlights to their red robes sort of echo the fiery flames Redemptionists are all about _________________ Check out may pan-Eldar projects Exodites, Corsairs, Craftworld, True Kin, Croneworld (soon) and one Shadowseer!: http://www.thedarkcity.net/t14405-corsairs-exodites-craftworlders-and-hopefully-kabalites-soon | |

| A new project - Abaddon The Despoiler! Much like Doomrider, this is a project for an army I don;t have. A build for pure enjoyment, which will likely find its way swiftly to eBay once finished. The plan is to make a decent looking Abaddon, considering the age clearly showing on the official model. I'll be using a Grey Knight for body and legs, which of course I'll be adapting a tad to Chaos it up. I'll likely smooth down the swriting on the armour, and add that lovely spike design Chaos seems to have. The Talon and sword I may have to scratch-build, but I think I'll come to that when it happens. Head I haven't settled on yet. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| Here's an odd coincidence - the above image kicking off the new Abaddon project was the 666th image I uploaded to my Imgur account. Neat. Anyway, I made swift progress having recieved the parts today. So already I think the body looks much better than the somewhat bland pose of the GW model. Obvious differences are that I've swapped the two arms around (because thats where the Grey Knights keep their bolter ports, and reduced the size of the claw a bit. I had to make a custom claw, and decided to make it a nice and simple affair rather than a massive overpowering fist of a thing. I found an actual Drach'nyen in my bits box whilst hunting for a sword, but it was a bit beat up so it needed a new handle and hilt as well. I haven't added the head just yet, though I have found an appropriate one. Just working the details through on his top-knot before I commit to it. And theres a fair bit of green stuffing still to do to spike up the armour and add the trim common to Chaos suits. Theres a small start on the spiked collar, but I need to expand that to the whol suit. I also plan to add chains and cloth hanging from the belt as Abaddon's official model has as well. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| Abaddon complete. I'll get some better images uploaded once I undercoat it, but for now, heres an experiment using gifs: Focus issues, etc. I'll do better for the final images. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| A much better look at the custom Abaddon The Despoiler I've recently built. Let me know what you think! Is the GIF working? It worked before, but I can't see it........?Grey Knight body and head, with custom top-knot and armour accessories/adaptations. THe claw had to be custom made, and the sword built from the actual Drach'nyen and a few assorted Grey knights handle/hilt parts. Shoulder Pads and Trophy Racks from Chaos Terminators. Stones on the base..........from my garden. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

I'm not. I don't have a Chaos army, but every now and then I just like to build something for the fun of it. If you scroll up a little, you'll see my Doomrider! Once built, I tend to sell them. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| Great idea! I have some Nurgle stuff too that I got for the fun of kitbashing, etc., and I've been hanging onto it for small skirmish games w some of my less tabletoppy friends--but I like the thought of selling some for cash. _________________ Help the covens kitbash by contributing to the Model Dimensions Database.

| I've recently finished off a few small additions to my Deathwatch. Specifically, it was annoying not having enough to fill out a whole unit of Frag Cannons or Infernus Heavy Bolters. Now I do. I also slapped together a new Chaplain (maybe a Captain) to roam around with a Vanguard squad. This army is nearly in a "complete" state. I;ve both the Corvus Blackstar finished now (will picture soon) and I just have a pair of Drop pods to finish off. Until a new Codex convinces me otherwise. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| I wanted to do something small and different, so I've started a pair of small-scale builds just for fun. I'm using Kairic Acolytes because they're some of the few GW models with bare chests, which I wnated for the start, and I'm going to do some kit-bashing and sculpting next. I need to source a couple of arms and heads, but here's the start. For those who have no idea, that kain from the Legacy Of Kain video games, and Skeletor. From He-Man. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| Finishing off a productive few days - this guy. I honestly don’t quite know what I’ve done here, but I’m really pleased with it. I’m calling it “da Big Grot”, the first on a planned Ork army which will NOT all look like this (it’ll be mini-light with big things I think, and many MANY Grots). Probably Red Gobbo/Gretchin Revolutionary Commitee themed. But I like what I’ve done here, and will find a place for it regardless. Main body is from a Kairic Acolyte, head from an Ogre Kingdoms Grot, claw custom built. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| He's pretty cool.
Like a Lord of the Rings Orc with a Ninja Turtle mask and a don't mess with me Klaw. | A quick update on two for-fun builds - Kain and Skeletor. Skeletor is coming along quite nicely, mostly built. I think all I need to do is add the hood over his head. I'm also looking to see if I can find a couple of ram horns to get the tip of the satff just right. Kain needs some more work, but is coming along. I still have to adapt his hands into his traditional claws (like the feet), smooth in one of the elbows and finish his head and hair. I'll also be adding the Soul Reaver blade, but I'll have that on his back rather than in hand. I've ordered a curvy Empire Greatsword for that. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| A second random Grot to stand alongside Da Big Grot, this time its Klikklak the Self Ascended, a truly ambitious and ingenius Grot who found his way onto a Blackstone Fortress and built a new suit of armour out of a few Spindle Drones! _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| Skeletor is complete! I’m really pleased with how he’s come out, and think I might find a place for him in one of my armies. maybe as a Shadowseer in my Harlequins? Ooooo, that opens the possibility of other characters. Maybe a Kill-Team of Skeletors best allies? Maybe something to consider for the future. Kain is also fully built, I just need to paint him. _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |

| I finished a newer project, a quick "for fun" build that I have no army for. I decided after recent projects to have a go a a custom Solar Macharius. Pictures aren;t th best quality, but let me know what you think! _________________ Kabal of the Eternal Night | Modelling Blog | The Squidmaster Distractathon | Notes on being an RPG Gamesmaster |
