Codex leaks might be faked

I have 2 people (will not be named) that are saying they might have difference codex's so GW can find the leakers, there are some differences....

I dont really buying it considering they should have printed thousands of fake codex just for that purpose

This seems unlikely.  According to ESE his NDA lifted when the Codex went on pre-order which is around the same time we started getting all the info.  They're hardly "leaks" anymore.

I mean the "leakers" are doing public videos on their channels that were uploaded as soon as the NDA ended.

Yes if GW want to find them they just have to find how to open youtube

Yeah BoLS was not hiding that they were putting this info out there, no way they had a fake codex. GW clearly gave them a codex early just so that they could put that review out there.

I'm 95% sure thats intentional from GW. Its basicaly free advertising for them

Could they be lying? sure... but when DLing the full codex just make sure its the new one and not a beta one, its not like im telling you they are fake lol, just have some salt.

Or all the leaker make a april fool

The Bols info, yes GW most likely asked them to do it.

This might be, we dont know how GW actually does it, and if they are giving tester out months ahead, their might be a few really early and a few a little later, maybe some glaring mistakes are fixed first.

The differences, if there are any, won't be in the rules, but in the images/pages. Normally you have slightly different background images/watermarks/colours, there is software that generates it making it quite subtle. But it allows you to works out which copy of your thousands of pdfs got leaked.

As for BOLS they got a preview codex, and as people were saying the NDA lifts when the codex goes up for pre-order.

Basically yes, but don't panic, it's all good.
