So, I've added some Eldar into the mix. I think this strengthens my previous list: It gives me Eldar Jetbikes which I think are one of the best scoring units in the game, unlocks a flyer which allows me to bring in another Ravager and the Farseer sounds fun. My concerns are is the list too neutered and does it lack anti tank..... (Plan for 1650 escalation is a Warp Hunter...)

Maybe some upgrades for farseer, or a blaster for one of the warriors.
I cant remember what upgrades you could get for the jetbikes.
Otherwise, looks like a nice and solid list.

20 points you say? The exact cost of the Exarch upgrade for the Crimson Hunter?

WHAT A COINCIDENCE.

And, yeah, you're somewhat dependent on your fliers for anti-tank but, with everything thrown in you don't look too badly off to me. And yeah, adding a Eldar heavy support with Escalation makes perfect sense, and sorta makes things a bit better there.

Like wanderingblade I would spend the remaining points for a Crimson Hunter Exarch Upgrade. Bf5 is kinda nasty for his 4 shots. The only Problem I have with the Hunter is that he's a overpriced ravager if your enemy doesn't bring any flier. Sadly all the Eldar Anti-Air weapons are a tad overpriced. :/

Hah! Smile Well, I have my Baron+Eldar list - so I'll go with that version (it's basically the same thing...)

I'd have to agree with everyone else - take the Exarch. BS5 on all that S8 AP2 is great, and having precision shots for the ground targets never hurts. You've got Venoms to take care of quadguns so I definitely think it's worth it.

I've considered taking a Mantle/Bike Autarch actually, just to manipulate that reserve roll so my Hunter/Razorwing will turn up at the right time - but then losing out on Guide and (potentially) Doom/Fortune is a bit of a kicker.

EDIT: I forgot to say ''I like the list'' I think Guardian Jetbikes have improved massively - give us an excellent scoring unit for the Relic too.

Can I ask your reasoning behind putting aethersails on the raider with the kabobs in it? If you use it, I'm under the impression they can't fire for the next turn. So that's 2 turns you can fire with them.

Ya good point and good catch doomseer.

Nothing wrong with the list although im not sure adding 20 pts to the flyer is worthwhile. Its a good upgrade sure but 180 is a lot to invest in anything av10. I would be inclined to make the venom warriors into more wyches change the sails to FF/NS and call it a day.

Why the 2 sets of 3 Eldar Jetbikes? If one dies then you're already rolling for moral. Would it be better to have a group of 6?

To me it looks like you have good anti-tank with the Ravagers and wyches.

It just says ''Can't fire in the following shooting phase'' Aether sails are used in the movement phase it would seem:

As for the remaining 20 points, Skyhunter, you could give the Jetbikes Shuriken cannons - I'd personally run 6 with 2SC's but I understand the plan behind the minimum scoring squads.

I agree that 180 points is a lot for a 10/10/10 HP3 vehicle - but that BS5 is so nice....hmn... and precision shots can be handy sometimes too.

EDIT: Another use of the 20 points could be to give the 5-man warrior squad a blaster and give the Farseer a singing spear.

The reason for the enhanced aethersails is they are purely modelled on the Raider I use; I've also had quite a lot of success in games with it, I often reserve Duke and his warriors and they plough forward.

I think units of 3 other than 6 are better with the bikes as that is two objectives they can take/deny. The Farseer will be quite a nice little denial unit too.

To make it up to 1650 do you think a Warp Hunter is a good shout or are there better options?

Don't use forge world stuff myself, so I would go with a fire prism, and maybe shuri-cannons on the bikes so they can pop-out-and-shoot all game. Or the spirit stone of anath'lan for the farseer, allowing him/her to cast guide + prescience + one of the warp charge 2 abilities all in the same turn - you lose your rune armour save, but that's not so bad when you have a great cover save and armour save.

Ive always played aether sails means the turn after but now I see thats not the case, sweet.

After a rethink on this list I wonder if a fighty autarch wouldnt be better here. This list reserves both flyers and sometimes the dukes unit so reserve manipulation would be very handy plus hes cheaper.

The problem is reserve manipulation from the autarch will only affect the Eldar detachment and not the Dark Eldar detachment.

Mush - that's very true!

At least the Autarch helps the Crimson Hunter (who's fragile but very powerful) and the 2 small biker squads (who's only job is to stay in reserve and score points I'm guessing!).

Good spot though, I never use allies so hadn't noticed that before Smile
