I am happy with my 1750 list but I now have my eye on a tournament for 1500pts and I'm a bit unsure on what to take. Here is what I have so far.... Not sure what to do with the remaining 50 points, add a Haemonculus? Add some Night Shields? Extra Trueblaster? I hand it over to you guys...

Only think i see, if drop the aethersails and the shock prow and add the SC to the razorwing. Its a personal thing, but i see when firing missiles at troops the extra 6 makes better use than a TL rapid fire

I always felt that the rifle was better than the splinter cannon as I fire the missiles on arrival and then, pending on survival, I go tank hunting; the missiles always seem to neutralise whatever they hit anyway.

Aethersails and shock prow are things added that are also included purely for the aesthetics of the model, things that I am unlikely to remove. The Enhanced Aethersails are a 5pt upgrade that I will never, ever use but form the centrepiece of the army.

You just use it for looks of the vehicle?

Like i said its a person thing. I just like the SC to shoot first take a guy or 2 out

Yes, purely for the aesthetics. It's a 5pts instant handicap but I couldn't use such a big sail if I hadn't paid for the sail - I guess it could be handy for LOS blocking.

The rule is what you see is what you get, not what you see is what you must take. You can downgrade your equipment and still have it represented on the model. Nobody should give you a hard time about that, even at official tournaments, just as long as everyone is clear about what's on the table before the game begins.

Wait, you are the Mod. Now I'm just confused. Am I mistaken, or have things changed as far as representation on the models?

Just because I am an admin does not mean I dictate how the rules are played or interpreted. My point is that I am using an Enhanced Aethersail model on a Raider - yes I could just say it is a big sail but I like to make sure my models are WYSIWYG and that nobody can accuse me of modelling for advantage.

Understood. The list looks solid. Very solid. You should be able to clean up with just this, honestly. If you must spend the points, you could drop a naked Haemonculus in with the Wyches to make them a little angrier faster. That's all I've got. I've been away from the hobby a long time. Still trying to get used to my new DE.

I would personally either do:

* Naked Haemonculus - Pain Token always useful, though if confident in rolling 6's...

* Extra Blasterborn, Shardnet and Impaler and Shock Prow your remaining Raiders which would leave you with 3 points under.

Hello all, I've reworked my list a bit now, added a Haemonculus with a Shattershard and turned some of the Warriors into Wracks. This leaves me with 12 points to play around with (Night shields for Duke?)

Is this an improvement on the previous list?
