When did you start playing dark eldar?

It was in the few months before the release of the 5th edition codex that I was introduced to 40k. Had never played it nor anything like it before. I was shown the game by my 2 friends who had Eldar, Blood Angel and Guard armies. I wanted to do/be something different to all of that and after doing the research I was hooked with the dark kin. The Dark Eldar has been my only army to date and I dont intend to change that one bit

But I never broke up with the Dark Eldar. They're cool with an open relationship.

1998 with the 3rd Ed box set which I bought with my brother. I miss the original Drazhar rules! 60pts and he was about as badass as he is now relative to the rest of the codex

I started DE around the beginning of 6th edition, I believe. They were an army I'd always been interested in, and one of my friends decided he wanted to sell his DE army, and asked me if I wanted to buy it. I did.

I enjoyed them a lot, even if playing against Tau and Eldar did dampen my spirits somewhat.

Sadly, the new book killed most of my interest in the army. For some time now, I've just been playing IG (which should give you an idea of how dull I consider our book to be - that I consider the IG one more interesting).

However, having seen the Haemonculus supplement (oh, so that's where all our flavour ended up), I've decided to give DE another go. We'll see how it goes, I guess.

So I started with the 3rd ed starter box. I built into space marines and dark eldar. And when I came back to the game in 5th I collected every army under the sun. Now after selling most of my armies. I only have space marines and dark eldar. (And some sisters... cut yea I like to give new players a chance)
