Any idea how many guys will fit into the Starweaver Transport? I really hope its not going to be five like a venom as that would ruin a lot of the potential.
Also am I correct in understanding that a solitaire can join a unit as long as it has no character?

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who likes them.
The solitaire isn't an independent character so can't join other units. I believe his character status prevent others from joining him, I could be wrong though. Even if it is possible it would be kind of lame todo.

Yeah, the Solitaire has The Path of Damnation special rule which prevents any characters from joining him. He is always alone, thus the name. ^_~

Yeah, I saw that rule I just thought the wording was kind of peculiair because I was not aware of the other rule that states that non-independent characters cant join units.
I thought that while he cant join a unit with a character, he could join a unit of say, a couple of wyches without a hekatrix.

I just thought he spent a lot of time playing card games on his computer.

Nope, he can't join anyone. His Unit Composition is 1 (Unique). Plus, aside from the fluff of him being the loneliest of all lone wolves, he'd be wasted with other units anyway because of his unique movement rules.

Can't wait to hear how many guys fit into the new transport.

My inside source says we should see the transport, codex and possibly shadow seer this week along with the codex and heraldry book. No news on the ltd edition though

I hope they really give us a lot of new fluff to go with the range. The few things published about the harlies (and especially the solitaire) is contrdictory and lacking

Bols thinks its a starweaver as well. GW has hid new things in plain sight before. I am sure its the starweaver!

Soo, its basically a venom with a Shuriken Cannon and this 4++ once per game thingy.
Something tells me there wont be a Great Harlequin

I really have to buy this little beauties. The 4++ one time use is nice to get the unit in there into CC turn 2.

Hehe - they will ignore ignore cover
As for the chraracters - i like some diversity, but i think current Death Jester and Shadow Seer is way cooler. New Shadow Seer is interesting though.

The Starweaver is supposedly a dual kit that can also make a heavy weapons platform called a Voidweaver.

I kinda like the new Death Jester, but I'm about sick of GW's chronic need to sculpt characters on decorative elements. It removes an element of the modelling experience (namely, basing) and can make it problematic to tie them into an existing army.

I like the new Jester. He seems like a hunter on the prowl to me, scoping the field for a new target. I feel the seer look a vit to much like the previous incarnation with the mirrormask and tge hood

I like the new poses as well. The old ones were kind of awkward with the Jester precariously straddling that piece of rubble and the Shadowseer statically hovering in the air. I don't mind decorative bases, even if I don't intend on using them. You can just cut them off if you don't like it and then maybe use them for something else. More is always better.
Not the best pic, but I love the Starweaver so far! It looks a bit bigger than a Venom, so I bet it will hold more than 5. Harlequins are super lithe and lightly geared, so it makes sense that they'd be able to pile onto smaller craft. My only beef is that it's a bit confusing to have both vehicles named so similarly.

Thanks for the picture. It looks like a direct copy of a venom. Curious to see more details. Vael how did you figure its bigger than a venom? I hope you're right about the number of passengers. But it still doesn't look like it could carry 10 or so.

I like how similar but different it is with a Venom. I happen to have one on my paint station immediately to my right, and it's kind of fun to compare them and spot all the differences.
No Great Harlequin? But... that doesn't make sense. I'm not thrilled, somehow, with the idea that the Shadowseer is running the show now. Maybe there's a way to upgrade a Troupe Master to a Great Harlequin? Troupe Masters have access to Enigmas, after all...
The suspense from this codex is killing me.

^This! So much this! I had to do a ton of work converting and re-engineering the plastic Haemonculus model so it would match my army and not snap off at the spine, and it's still not done. My army are on featureless cracked desert bases that I make using crackle paint and green stuff. I have no idea what to do to make the new Harlequins match that, short of resculpting them from the knees down.

Yeah they are. If we do get one it will probably be called the Great Harlequin though, the high avatar is super old. From before there was an eldar Avatar.
