Hmmm, new Harlequin Troupe, new Solitaire, new Death Jester and Shadowseer, new Skyweaver jetbikes, new Starweaver transports, ...... new, new new!

Methinks there is a new TDC painting competition in the works, revolving around this release, so keep a beady eye out for that - it should be posted soon.

But for those of you not considering the painting competition, and those of you not considering Harlequins Shocked

, tell us how you plan to while away the month of February. Will you paint, or convert, or kitbash something? Whatever it is, if you succeed in fulfilling your vow, you will get your name highlighted in TDC's patent-pending-barring-trademark-lawsuit Commorraghan purpleTM!

Denizens and their vows for the month of February (completed in purple):

Evil Space Elves - paint 6 CWE Guardian Jetbikes, 1 Farseer, 5 Wraithblades, 10 Wraithguard, 1 Solitaire, and 1 Cobra CWE superheavy. Assemble 1 Harlequin box set.

The Burning Eye - paint 2 Ravagers, 5 Scourges, 3 Reavers.

1++ - paint (4) x 5-man Warrior squads and 4 Venoms.

Nexs - paint 1 Archon, 5 Trueborn, 1 Command Gunboat (Raider), and 1 Razorwing. If time permits, 5 Scourges.

KnightSeerValkia - paint 1 Succubus, 3 Spirit Host Grotesques, 1 Raider, 5 Kabalite Warriors and 2 Venoms.

Vasara - paint 1 Imperial Knight.

Count Adhemar - paint 1 squad of Fire Dragons, and possibly 1 Hornet.

Dragontree - paint 1 Cerastus Knight Castigator including the base (go, Rob, go!), 1 Blood Angels Terminator Captain, and at least start painting 1 Furioso Dreadnought.

Spellcheck2001 - paint 1 Venom and crew, 1 Raider crew, and finish 1 Beast Pack (5 Lions & 2 Beast Masters).

Plastikente - paint 3 converted Wych/Wracks and 2 Classic Taloi.

I'm going for it this month:
Paint:
-6 CWE Guardian Jetbikes
-Farseer
-5 Wraithblades
-10 Wraithguard
-Solitaire
-Cobra CWE superheavy

Assemble:
-Harlequin box set.

Paint 2 Ravagers, 5 more scourges, 3 Reavers.

For me painting in Feb looks like;

4x 5 man Warriors, Blaster in each
4x Venoms

I'll have finished for certain(nearly done already):
Archon (blaster, agoniser)
5 Trueborn (4 blasters, dracon)
Command Gunboat (Raider, lance)
Razorwing (lances, cannon + missile collection)

If time permits:
5 Scourges (4 heat lance)

Since I have started a Tales of War (escalation league) at my local GW...

Why did you choose to go with the spirit hosts? I could imagine rat ogres, or the new rat ogre artillery arm dudes, but do you have a theme you're going with to tie them in?

I'm doing a 'Nightmare' theme for my army, inspired mainly due to my love of the Imaginaerum album by Nightwish. Going with a dark blue/purple/black night sky for the main colour of the army, with ghostly tones for cloth and skin.

My Coven models are going to show more of the nightmare theme as I'm planning on the Spirit Hosts as Grotesques, kitbashed Ghouls upper bodies and Wych legs (possibly some Cultists for helmets) for Wracks and playing round with stuff for other models. Also, thinking about a graveyard theme basing for the army, with bones/tombstones/blood etc.

Paint an Imperial Knight

I will attempt to finish painting the squad of Fire Dragons to match the Exarch from last month's vow. Dependent on the date of arrival of our new baby I will also attempt to paint up a third Hornet to match the 2 from last month (should have left them until I had all 3 but never mind...).

I really struggle with open areas of hull/armour so this is unlikely to be my best work but relatively pleased so far.

Best get started on the termie captain and the lurking furioso!
