Comparing the Starweaver pic to this shot on the Venom from the same angle: You can see the passengers take up much more space on the Venom and the cockpit canopy should be the same size on both, so you can tell that the Starweaver is longer in the front, wider all around, and much longer in the back. There's that curved bar above the passenger deck which could be used for passengers to hang on to, and the engine cover/wing areas are bigger as well. The turret is a bit bigger too. And to be fair, the Venom really doesn't look like it should carry 5 anyway, lol. More like 3 at the max, one on each wing and one behind the gunner. I think all 40k vehicles are a bit bigger on the inside. XD

| For some reason I dont think the starweaver will hold 10 models. I've got nothing to base it on, it just looks to small somehow. | |

| I scaled the Venom so that the canopy visors are exactly the same size. | |

| Here's hoping the void weaver has some decent anti-tank options hopefully some haywire weapons. | |

| Wow! Thanks for the direct comparison. I kind of see what you mean. GW also stated that it's a 'New Plastic Kit' which I guess they wouldn't do if they just added a small sprue. You're getting my hopes up. Hope you're right! | |

I assumed one would be coming. He's already out and we've had his rules for a couple of weeks now.

| You don't shut up a solitaire. I would honestly rather have a primarch on my back than one of those bad boys. Solitaires are bad news for everyone! | |

I feel I'm gonna play them.
EDIT; Due to GW rarely giving options that can't be modelled any more, I doubt the death jester will have the ability to take anything other than a shuriken/shrieker cannon*, meaning the prismatic lance will be our only Anti-aircraft weapon.
* I wouldn't be surprised if "Bio-explosive Ammo" is in the Black library equipment list.

| http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/1290/628189.page#7583452 Looking at the fluff for the starweaver, it seems to indicate that harlequins can A) assault directly from the vehicle, without first disembarking, and B) hit and run back onto their transport. Both of these actions would seem to me to be illegal in the general sense, but I have yet to encounter either scenario. Maybe some rules gurus can clarify if these actions are legal, or if this fluff is indicative of some harlequin special rules?

| 6 passengers? That's weird. I guess I was right, to a degree, though I had hoped for more LOL. It does mean that you can carry a full troupe and a Death Jester or a Shadowseer, which is interesting. | |

| I apologize if this is redundant as this may have been covered in pages 3 thru 15 of this thread.
Has anyone considered that the shadow seer and death jester are elites, and therefore (barring a special rule/detachment bonus) cannot join units and must be fielded alone? I certainly hope that the shadowseer doesn't have to run around solo. The death jester is somewhat of a different story in my opinion, as I have always felt that a heavy shooting model felt out of place in a unit that wants to be in CC, but having him run around alone doesn't seem like a particularly great idea either. Perhaps, I realize as I type this post, they can be fielded in units of more than one, much like a cronos or talos. This would greatly increase the effectiveness of the Death Jester as I know him.

If they have the independent character rule they'll be able to join other units.

| Never mind my previous post, as I realized that there is no reason that an elite cannot be an IC. I can't think of any specific examples where this happens however. | |

Interesting force org chart. No HQ's? LOTS of Elites. Aside from the Solitaire we haven't seen a unit that is in the Elite slot. Probably Death Jesters with the one Heavy slot being taken by the Voidweaver. Please don't let them make a crappy Bloodbride option out of a normal Harlequin squad as an elite choice

Given many feel Harlequins are what Wyches should be, I'd expect elite Harlies to be what Bloodbrides should be.

| Maybe the explanation for all of the elite slots is that you can take Craftworld or Dark Eldar units as elite choices, like in the IA Corsair rules. I wish the image wasn't so zoomed in. >_< | |
