Looks nice, though I'm not sure i'd worry about the highlight on the purple design. It gives the design an extra dimension that the rest of the model doesn't have and sticks right out.
If that's what you're going for though, you've hit it

Felt like I was making no progress this week and I was getting a bit dispirited.  Tonight I was able to start working a few hours earlier than typical and I felt like I made some real progress.  First finished the freehands on the 2nd voidraven which was the final step.  I just need to put the cockpit back on (white glue doesn't seem to hold exceptionally well, and I don't want to risk fogging the canopy with super glue.  What does everyone else use?) and dull cote it and it is done.  It is raining so didn' t want to mess with it tonight.   Then I got work done on a lot of the metals for one of the razorwings and 4th venom. Slightly hampered by a headache, but positive hobby night.





Boring but you get pictures anyways.

As for your question about the canopy I used white glue (a decent amount) and its worked fine. Just put a little more on there and have a q-tip ready to clean up an excess it should work fine.

BTW Reece from Frontline was just mentioning in a new article how he think 3x Razor Wings, 3x Void Ravens is a very nice list...

Agreed, I think it would be a very nice list.

It's the £200 RRP it would take to buy them to bulk out my list that puts me off (well, more specifically the reaction of my wife when she found out!)

He actually said 6 Razorwings and 3 Voidravens, but at 1260 points bare nekkid and over £300 to buy I think I'll pass!

I'll have to post an army list in the army list section here soon.  I feel like 9 flyers would be powerful but almost impossible to efficiently move.  With 6 they get in each other's way.  Usually there are only so many effective line of sight lanes to fly down.

In the meantime a pic of my autarch on jet bike.  He's kinda a butt hole.  He isn't worth shooting at, but makes my reserves consistent and can snag or contest objectives across the board.

Decided to lay out the army today to come up with a to-do list now that there is less than a month till Vegas.
I was a little surprised to find I only  have 4 models that aren't 3 colors at least.  2 of those should be rectified tonight with a little quality time with the airbrush.  To-Do list for a complete complete army following the pics taken in my garage to ensure optimal (read sub-optimal) lighting.  Also realize I hadn't posted pictures of my rangers.

1 razorwing interior complete, exterior needs fully completed
2 razorwings need pilots and completed interiors with exterior touchups
1 voidraven needs to be dullcoted
1 venom needs pilot completed and just tribals on exterior
1 venom has a half painted pilot and unprimed exterior
1 venom painted in an old scheme but 3 colors.  needs complete repaint
autarch is only primed
medusae build and paint
5 warriors need bases and dull cote
10 warriors need fine details and bases.
15 bases for warriors that have been crackled but need sand and paint
bases for flyers need to be completed

that all most likely will not happen, but I am comforted to know that if the tourney were tomorrow my army would look "okay", and could be 3 colors.

This has been a fairly productive week and actually gives me hope of taking at least a nearly completely painted army to Vegas in 3 weeks.  
I finished the last voidraven, completed one of the razorwings, and got the other 2 as far as i can without the pilots.  this included nearly completely repainting one that I had told myself I would never fix.  in some of the older pics you can see a razorwing that looks like its silver highlights are airbrushed on.  They were. ...what you can't quite see in the pictures is that the chrome oversprayed and dusted the entire model with flecks of silver.  I finally convinced myself to not just use the tabletop excuse and get it done.
I based the 15 infantry that were not based.  Hopefully you can see from the picture that this by itself makes the infantry look 100% finished from gaming distance which is good enough for now.  I e have never had a game where more than 10 were on the table at once anyways =oP
I also completed the bike for the autarch.  now just need to paint that jerk.















p.s. after looking through my horde of bits, I can't seem to find 1 razorwing pilot, and 1 full canopy. Haven't found a bit seller that has them yet either. If anyone encloses their canopies and didn't use the pilot, or used half canopies for venoms and have a full left over please shoot me a pm and we can work something out. cash, or I have mountains of 40k and wfb bits (orks, SM, eldar, OK, HE).

I love the face on the Autarch's jetbike. Very inspiring freehand work.
