The Monthly Vow, February 2015 - so much awesomeness to choose from!

Doh! Forgot to post up my finished raider and crew. Well here it is. Better late than never

@Count Adhemar I'd go so far as to say they are my favourite things you have painted. I think they are absolutely fantastic.

Thanks very much! Strangely they are actually, in technical terms, some of the worst figures I've done in recent years. The painting on all the armour is very sloppy, deliberately so, because the overall effect seems to be better that way. No idea why!

Started finally to airbrush my Knight but midway through first color I broke my airbrush.

Need to get a new one. Glad that it was cheap model.

Had a GW voucher from Xmas so seemed rude not to at least buy the codex, even if I won't be getting any of the models.

Count that is beautiful. Your straight line edging is AMAZING! Care to share any secrets because I can't seem to do it. I want to do it but just can't do it...!

@Count Adhemar Superb stuff as always. Forever in awe of your clean lines.

@Nexs My first thought was pin head from hellraiser, the pale skin is fantastically malevolent! The small amount of blood on the hooks is also a really neat not over done touch.

My vow is complete apart from redoing the base of the Knight, the snow went all funky and I discovered that super glue will fix it far better than the sealant it came with but I have run out so it will do till this weekend.

@Dragontree Thanks mate Also, i love that knight. The wrecked vehicle at the bottom is very fluffy. It looks like it's snowing very heavily! Are you going to wrap the same red around the bases that you did with the termies?

@The_Burning_Eye Looking good as always, though I'm not sure about the champ's agoniser pose. I'd probably have used one from the scourge kit or the kabalites (probably scourges because, from memory, they have a non-armoured arm holding the agoniser?)
I love the bright purple on the feathered wings man, very striking.

@nexs - thanks, i can see what you mean about the agoniser, but it's done for sheer practicality i'm afraid - far less chance of it snagging and snapping if it's tucked away flush with the bike fairing. I do kind of like the idea of her lashing the whip at someone in front of the bike too i must admit.

If it were me, taking into consideration the snagging issue, I might do the old Indiana Jones and loop the agoniser around and attach to belt or something... Not a quick job though :/
To be clear, it doesn't take away from your model, still looks nice!
