| Hi Lurked around here for quite a while following some awesme project logs, so I've decided to throw in my lot and show you guys my stuff! I started collecting the true kin in 2011 just after the new models were released, and after much dabbling with some Space Wolves I've returned to the DE to repaint and expand my old army, making this the third incarnation of my force (one day I'll get the paint scheme right...). Recently my progress on the army has slowed so I'm starting this log to help motivate me to paint more regularly. My colour scheme is basically the Obsidian Rose except I preferred blue as a spot colour and my vehicles bear the broken sigil so it's sorta my own scheme ^~^ Anyway enough words, here's what I've painted so far: Yay... So a fairly modest collection so far, but hey it can only get bigger right? So here's the man himself, haven't thought up a ridiculous name for him yet but any suggestions would be appreciated! I had to have the new haemonculus despite already owning two, he's just wonderful This is his partner in crime, converted with a medusae head for extra gross brainy goodness The haemonculi wouldn't get far without their trusty wrack attendants, I took delight in painting them bright orange when they're described as wearing 'dark' clothing XD The humble beginnings of a warrior squad A couple of wyches and harlequins, complete with agonisingly painted cheques Perhaps more agonising was the highlighting on this raider, absolutely dreading the second And finally, a razorwing that was the work of months of sitting half painted on my desk Good progress so far, looking to finsh the harlequin squad off before diving in to the unholy amount of unpainted kabalites. So hopefully more updates soon

| Looking good so far. I like the red scheme and nice freehand on the symbols. Keep it going Just a small thing. Do you have larger pics you can post? Can't seem to zoom on yours for a closer look for some reason | |

| Yes, it's bigger. On photobucket use the IMG one Just click on it, and it will copy the html code directly, so you just have to insert it in your post | |

| Looking great! The Archon color and shading in the facemask reminds me a bit of Deadpool, which is awesome!
Keep up the good work. | |

| Subject: Update: Incubi and more harlequins! Thu Apr 02 2015, 11:55 | |
| Holy mother I've let this log fall by the wayside already! Shame on me for my neglectful ways. Nevertheless I have not been entirely idle over the past month, having put paint to a whole 7 models! *gasp* But firstly, a question to be answered... @Khordajj The gold on my kabalites' rifles is actually just balthasar gold with a nuln oil wash, nice and simple! On the harlequins and my incubi I've added a highlight of the old dwarf bronze to brighten it up a bit to look more decorative. Speaking of incubi, here they are: I used the dark elf executioners because I wanted two squads and the box came with 10 for far less money than two incubi boxes; as well as this they are plastic models which are just so much easier to deal with than resin or metal. I covered these guys in even more blood than usual as they're always in the thick of the fighting, and of course that severed elf (eldar) head was the perfect place for some gore. Before getting distracted by these guys I did manage to partially complete what I actually set out to do, painting two more harlequins to bring the squad up to four. Also in the works are the last two harlequins and the venom in which the incubi will ride, which I haven't got far with yet. So I guess that's all for now, will try to update again when I get something else painted! | |

| WELL It’s been a while hasn’t it? Even at my pitiful pace I’d been hoping for more updates than this… But there was Skitarii and work and stuff... I digress. Next month my local GW is holding a doubles tournament to which I intend to bring my DE. However, there are extra points up for grabs for fully painted armies – something my army most certainly isn’t! Over the next month I will attempt to rectify this wrong, by painting everything pictured below. A bit hard to see, but shown is: 17 Kabalite Warriors 5 Incubi 5 Wracks 1 Succubus 1 Raider 3 Reavers Impossible? At my pace, almost certainly XD Nevertheless, I will endeavour to do as much as I can… The deadline is July 25th. I will try to post updates whenever I get something done. Vect speed my efforts. | |

| Oh dear I think it's been two weeks since I last posted - how time flies. For a change, I haven't been entirely idle in my absence: Firstly, I took the opportunity of the fiction competition to start on some background for my army. I figured the similarities in my paint scheme with that of the Obsidian Rose are too great to not provide an explanation, so I have decided to run with my force as a breakaway faction from the kabal. Deciding to start before the breakaway, my story focuses on Molossus, the future leader (archon, but I guess not officially) of this group of rebels. He is confronted by Lady Khromys (archon of the Obsidian Rose) to answer for some kind of misconduct, but I've left exactly what he's done a mystery for now, mainly because I haven't decided yet :p Anyway, here's the story if you haven't seen it: http://www.thedarkcity.net/t12523-audience-for-one Also, in a rare turn of events I actually played a game! I've never actually ran the army in a 1v1 game before so it was pretty exciting. I was against my friend's 30k Salamanders (including Vulcan), so I figured I was toast. Yet the dark kin performed beyond all expectations - almost the entire army entered by deep strike and I was very lucky with the scatter, so I managed to get my incubi into combat with his 20-man tactical squad and slaughter them before they could make use of their 'fury of the legion' shenanigans (80 bolt shells could shred anything in my army). My Succubus then proceeded to challenge the mighty primarch to single combat where she hilariously (and surprisingly) held out for 3 turns thanks to her dodge save, thus robbing Vulcan of the chance to do any major damage while the rest of my army racked up victory points from the objectives - victory to me! As for pics of painted models, you'll have to wait, mainly because I only have half-painted models and I don't really like WIP shots - sorry about that. Never fear though, my pledge to have my 1000 point force painted by 25th July still stands, I'll just probably have to substitute in some stuff I've already painted to save time - besides, wracks suck anyway Lastly, now I have some idea of what this force is going to be, this log needs a proper name! For inspiration I took the main distinguishing feature of my army - its blue markings. Thus, henceforth my evil space elf warriors will fight under the banner of the Blue Reaping. | |

| I painted models *cries of disbelief* That's right, one day before my deadline... I have painted 7 kabalite warriors. Yay? This seems like a far greater accomplishment however, because of the 3 warriors I already had done I now have a full squad ready for battle. As well as this, ages ago I showed a WIP of this venom, I actually finished it a while back but forgot to show it so here's that to bulk this post out a bit more. What's more, I was also proud of a little distraction unit, some Skittari rangers I purchased recently with the intent of starting a new army. Whether this intention is realised is another matter entirely, but for now I thought you might enjoy my somewhat original colour scheme... And that's it for today folks, my deadline for the 1000 points is technically Sunday now so I have a couple more days... not that I'm likely to succeed but still, there's hope! With luck there'll be another update sooner rather than later. Lastly, can anyone tell me how to change the name of this topic... the renegades of the Blue Reaping feel insulted under this false moniker | |

| Thanks for the comments guys - seems I may have to start a distraction log for the pink Skitarii sometime, although I've actually ordered Age of Sigmar with the intention of building a chaos army so that might be one distraction log too many Today was the final deadline to paint the 1000 point force, and I've been frantically trying to get models ready non stop all weekend. I sorta managed to make them all look table worthy if mixed in with the painted guys, but they're not properly done yet so I'll show them off later. Ironically enough, our opponents for the game today couldn't play, so all that hurry was in vain... I guess the models needed painting anyway, I should do this sort of thing more often to actually motivate myself to paint! Therefore, all I have to show you today is my Succubus/Lelith model: She is basically a spare passenger from the venom kit glued to a somewhat elaborate pile of rubble to make her more impressive. The trophy racks are both from the venom kit. The spear is from the raider. The eyes of a madwoman... I was quite pleased with her base, the tyranid skull seems slightly misplaced but it looks cool! Unless I find the inspiration for another sudden bout of painting you probably won't see an update here for a while now, I am going on holiday next week and as I mentioned earlier my new chaos force is due for imminent arrival which will doubtless take my focus away from the true kin for a time. But I'll be sure to set a distraction log to show you all what I'm up to | |

| Nice work on here Zizza. The highlighting on the red is brilliant, well done good sir.
Your own make on Lelith/Succubus is win. The poise on the mountain of rubble and trophies does emphasise the character. | |
