Escalation advice

Hi guys, we are starting an escalation league at my flgs soon and I'm going to use my Dark Eldar. Unfortunately I only have 500 pts of stuff and it's less than great. I was hoping for some advice to get me going.

I have
Hq 1x Archon
1x Haemonculus
Elites 4x Blasterborn 1x Dracon with Blast Pistol and Agonizer

Troops two min squad of Kabalite Warriors naked with Sybarites

I'm looking at getting a Venom, Scourges or Reavers next any other tips? thanks in advance.

Reavers and Venoms are both great! Scourges are good too, but are more of a gravy unit.

I'd say first things first get some transports. Most Dark Eldar lists, unless you're doing something super specific like Coven or Wych Cults (and usually even if you're doing that) use lots of infantry-filled gunboats. It's probably the best thing we have going for our army now. You've got two HQ choices, you've got 3 troop choices if you want to use your Trueborn as Kabalites, so I'd say get a Raider and a Venom. Put 10 guys in the Raider with the Archon, and 5 in the Venom. I think that's a pretty decent list to start off with.

Thanks. My biggest problem so far is people bringing vehicles. So, I'm thinking a venom first for my trueborn to cruise around in, then a raider or two. once we get past 1000 pts going to get the scourges I think as HWB wil be more useful at that point. Sound good?

How's he going to fit 10 warriors in a Raider plus Archon? I've been wanting to do that, but xPort capacity is 10 for raiders, correct?

Yes, but Blasterborn and an Archon in a raider looks delicious. Raiders also have the deepstrike rule on their own. but with the large footprint and scatter it looks hard to work.
