| I am a new player to the DE way of life. I am collecting a small force for use in Narrative Campaigns and specifically to be used in Zone Mortalis games.
I think the Reavers and base Kabalites are able to hold their own in ZM, but I'm not sure where else to go with my army. Has anyone had any experience with ZM? | |

| Liquifiers get a lot better when you get re-rolls to wound due to ZM rules. My list is fluffy and has lots of coven units including wracks just for that purpose. | |

| Yeah CurstAlchemist got the link for it. It's a ruleset for 40k designed for close quarters action. Very few vehicles and tight winding cooridors force really bloody close up games. For me it's just another awesome way to play 40k and tell a story. The scenario that I have in mind will set the stage for a campaign with a DE force raiding a transport ship and if they win,the ship shows up at its destination devoid of life.

| Definitely seems like DE, especially HC, would prosper in that setting. I'd love to get the chance to play it some time! | |

| Miniwargaming does a lot of reports using ZM. Isnt there also a rule for explosive templates? I am thinking shredder trueborn | |

| Thanks Miral. I'll have to look into that. Blasts and tenplates get the Shred rule (rerolls to wound) and can't scatter out of the hallway. These are the things I'm looking to learn because I don't know what units are the best for DE. | |

| No problem, it is great fun to watch (and probably play) those games. The thing with Shredderborn is that while not bad in particualr, all the other weapons trueborn can take are so much better - blaster ftw! But in ZM this could be different Here is an old discussion about that issue: http://www.thedarkcity.net/t3466-shredderborn | |

| Also, blast weapons that already have Shred, gain +1 Strength! I've had a lot of success with 6-man Trueborn with 2 Shredders, 2 Blasters and 2 Splinter Rifles. Also, Wracks become amazing again because of their twin-linked Liquifiers. Talos units of 1 or two with Heat Lances and Liquifiers wreck face, too. Dark Eldar rock at Zone Mortalis! | |

| I love playing ZM with my DE. Talos, Grotesques and incubis are pretty good. If you have a decent map, assault is a much better option than shooting. | |
