I use my old models as my basic units while I use the new models for true born and HQ units. I am also working the new models for Grotesques and Wracks into my army along with some venoms and a Chronos.

I have a huge number of the old Dark Eldar Warriors, a squad of Wyches of the metal sort, a Homunculus, some Mandrakes and some of the old Incubi. I also have several of the old Raiders and one kitbashed Rampager made from the old WD issue and VDR rules from 3e.

What I figured I would do is use the new Warrior models for Kabalite True Born, the old Warrior models for ordinary Warriors. The old Wyches I may not use at all. The Raiders though...I'll use those as Raiders, perhaps modified some, and use the new Ravagers..which should help distinguish them visually.

The only thing is the old models were painted with the old Citadel Metallics..which cannot be replaced. The new scheme is much nicer and where the vehicles are concerned, very airbrush friendly. So I will have to strip all the raiders and old models first. That's a LOT of work.

Worth it though, I think. The Malevolent Eye can always use plenty of fodder and more Raiders...

Yes most of my army is old school I've got new hellions, incubi and wytches all the rest is old as I've had most if them scince first release and I'm also strange I like the old ones so spikiey all except the hellions they were nasty( though a few years ago I got 10 for a fiver on eBay), they were replaced first, so old school for me.(mainly due to the cost of replacing 80 warriors and 6 raiders now that i'm old and have family.)

Same here mostly but I am looking at one of the old Haemonculus models as I'd ideally like six eventually, as well as the old Rakarth (and the current one). The old Lelith I'd be happy to use as one of my Cult's three Succubi (alongside the current one).

Generally though, there aren't that many close to the standards of the current range.

The only model from the new range is my venom - but I used parts of the Crew to build my wracks and my CC-Warriors (aka Wyches).

IMHO, the old Haemonculi, Talos + Plastic-Warriors are the best. Wyches are way out of proportion as are Mandrakes.

Not weird, but maybe a little creepy.

I start new DE when they release new models , Jes Goodwins models are that great.
I really like new style really and dont want to mix it with old ones.
Old ones are really have other proportions and were plain smaller.

When i saw them it was like:
God, they ARE are utterly menacing bastards...i want them!

Wyches i like even more cause they at last go away from stripper warrior concept, they are somewhat manly, and manly violent women is a freghtening and little disgusting thing to me ).
So it was yes right away, that was really how sadistic murdering bastards should look like.

Scourges....one of the best minis in all GW range.

Reavers...just wow...i ordered 2 boxes when they released.

Raiders and Ravagers...so much better..so fun and pleasing to paint with airbrush.

Not that it even matter if old line ok or not , new one is simply best , top, in all GW line.

i started DE with the new range, so i've had to go out of my way to get a hold of any of the old models, the only one i actually won the bidding war for is the female haemonculus (now my ancient haemonculi.

All of my Venoms are converted from Eldar Vypers. My troops choices and their Raiders are all from the old models (including the old Mandrake Models as Wyches). I'm currently converting all of my old Incubi to be minus tormentor helms. My Ravager is also oldschool. I still use the old Liquifier Gun/Scissorhand Haemonculus because he's still one of my favorite models.

My Bloodbride squad is all new models in a new raider. Also have a new Trueborn squad. 6/9 Reaver bikes are new models. Wracks are new. Finally added a Hellion squad because the new models don't look like a pile of melted pewter on a stick. And I picked up the new Haemonculus and Archon models as well.

Unfortunately with the new codex, I had to shelve my Archon on a Reaver bike. Good night sweet prince.
