1500 Pt WWP list for friendly local tournament

Hello everyone. I haven't run one of these before and I suppose the main question is if I should cart another portal along. The plan is to deliver the WWP with the 3 wracks+venom. Everything else is in reserve. The second Heamy comes in with the wyches. I have around 50 points left and could take another WWP, although the other Heamy would be on his own. The other ideas I came up with were splitting the large wrack squad and adding more of them, or making a couple more points for a suicide squad of 5 wyches with grenades.

The Talos are just variants I wanted to try out.

Yes.

We're done here now, right... kidding.
But - seriously, take a second portal. If the single carrier gets killed, or the portal surrounded, or you have so much stuff coming out that you're running out of room...that second portal is very worthwhile.

I wouldn't do that though. To my mind a portal carrier needs a vehicle - at the very least he probably needs a few dudes around to prevent a single lascannon shot fragging him off the table.

If you're not buying any wargear for him, is the acothyst really worth it just for +1 Attack and a small Ld boost?

What's the purpose of the extra two guys? Are they just standing around looking stoic, or what? I don't think you need ablative wounds because, trust me, if the enemy wants 4 DE dead, he can bring enough firepower to bear to kill 6 DE too.

Basically trying to get some anti-tank in the mix? I personally think you'd be *much* better served by more Wyches, which can be anti-tank as well as anti-infantry and also are a scoring unit - you're pretty light on Troops.

In a general sense the TL Liquifier is better than chain flails - just a thought.
I think the Cronos is kind of 'meh' though he's not totally out of place in this list - I just think he'll underperform for you. Try him out, if it works, great, if it doesn't I'd probably opt for a Talos instead.

Is the succubus a choice because of a want to use a specific model?

If not you could swap that succubus to an Archon with a blaster/agonizer as your second WWP carrier. Then throw the trueborn into a venom to run with him.

That could allow you to drop one of those 3 man wrack squads, bumping your big squad back to 10.
