Gun emplacements aren't owned. They're neutral, so you don't score points for killing them either way.

Anyone knows if the Void Mine profile is changed? No, but there is an option to drop it with ignore cover, reroll pens and +1S in formation.

| Outside, certainly not. Inisde - thats another story. But if you take formation you pretty much have to build entire list around it. Its 680 points with few upgrades, like Shatterfields on Void Ravens and Dark Lances on Razorwings. | |

The only things that have been changed are the added in Pursuit and Agility stats for each flyer.

If it's a formation, then it's outside the CAD. The CAD has room for 1 fortification. Just like taking a corpsethief claw doesn't count as part of any CAD that you might also take in your list. This is why I said it's "basically" a formation - imperial strong-points, void relay networks, etc only count as 1 fortification and fit within a normal CAD. These are all in the stronghold assault book 6th edition, which also contained the initial explicit ruling that fortifications don't count for victory points purposes unless you and your opponent decide otherwise (like in a narrative game or campaign). This idea was later integrated in to the 7th edition BRB though. There are exceptions of course - Imperial fists get a few tactical objectives regarding fortifications which can score them victory points for example. I also read back over the thread and realized the "can't target my quad gun" confusion might come from the fact that these same guns can be taken as "emplacements" (standing alone along side a fortification like with the aegis) or "emplaced" on a building, in which case it's treated exactly like a vehicle weapon. Which means you can't target it specifically - and have to get lucky on a building damage roll to take it out.

| Well, I just got to do a pretty thorough read-through of the flyer rules in the book, and I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out, but attack fighters and bombers are actually able to shoot other flyers with full BS in the dogfight phases, if they can manage to tail their opponent. So, yes, if you have a lone voidraven bomber, you can still blow an enemy fighter out of the sky without snapfiring... but you have to do it before it enters the board.
Also, it is important to note that flyers can't choose to jink in a dogfight unless they won the 2nd subphase (maneuver subphase).
That said, I think that the dogfight phase could easily be simplified into 3 opposed dice rolls, with each one being die+stat (pursuit for engagement subphase, etc) per subphase, without a need for any rock/paper/scissors crap. However, it pretty much cements that you need to play with some form of this phase in order to actually take advantage of the update to DE flyers (as our agility/pursuit stats, and one of the wingleader traits are all *really* useful for the dogfight phase).
