| Thanks guys! Yeah the swirly stuff is a nightmare. Having just done it on mine I have the utmost respect for anyone who paints this thing with all the swirly stuff attached. So. Much. Surface area... I'd like to see what yours looks like Count. I've gone for barely any soulstuff at all which works with all the other changes, but there might be a happier medium between the two I did a tone of test pieces on spare soulstuff today, trying to get a fading red look and none of them turned out how I was picturing. So, I ended up painting it in the one thing I know how to paint! Here's what I ended up with Just thinking about it, what I've actually done is faded from quite a bright white at the Soulstone through to the sepia of the body colour (not sure how well the pics show that, or how well I've done it to be honest!). I suppose I could use that as pre-shading for a really light red wash of some sort. I'll do some test pieces The other option is to continue the dark red wash I've done on the inner holes of the energy (which looks more prominent in real life) all around each contour so it sort of looks like it's backlit in red. | |

| I knew this model had potential. I like this pose much better than the original one. Now it looks like Space-Nagash is in the business o' murderin' and not just striking a pose for the cameras. Well done! | |

As you've shown me yours I'll show you mine! I've put some WIP shots in the monthly vow thread. Very nice work on your version. Love the re-posing!

| Ooer misses Thanks guys I'm glad I got it right! The whole 'posing for the camera' thing is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. Not just with models either. The whole 'superhero impact the ground, the dust clears and they sit there for a second in this pose... ...is equally guilty. If I was a baddie, I'd wait until they dropped, then while they're pausing for their glamour-shot I'd walk up to them and hit them on the back of the head with a hammer. Job done. Collect my pay rise at the generic-evil-job-agency. I always try and make sure my models are doing something recognisable as a movement on a battlefield. Either mid-swing, walking/running forwards, aiming, ordering peons onwards, or scanning the horizon for threats. Not that I always succeed of course, but it's a thought rattling around | |

Could you shoot me a photo of that? I'm working on some DC for a break between painting Ynnari for Inner Circle, and I'd love to see your work on them.

| Count, that is hella good. Better than I could do by far... Hence why I hire my painting out for the guys I love in my army.
I like the use of green for the purity seals rather than red as I find on the death company and blood angels, they can get lost in all the iconography.

| I do like that Yncarne, especially what you have done with the face. When I get mine, I may try something similar, though I am usually strapped for cash, so that may not be happening for quite some time. | |

| Thanks man the skull part of the face is easier than it looks it's not much more than poking the eye out with a pin (I've leave the nose if you're keeping the fleshy side intact). Looking forward to what you come up with when you do eventually get it | |

| Love how your model explains Yncarne's ability to teleport to any death on the map, and the look of course! | |

I don't mean to enable the highjacking, but is that a Terry Pratchett novel in the background?

| Good spot! I certainly don't mind my thread being hijacked if there's Pratchett involved. Can't quite place which one it is, but I'm dead certain that's 'Small Gods' next to it. Brilliant book | |
