| Lovely stuff can't wait to get started on my stuff but first lots of building to be done. Will definately walk through this log every now and then to keep the creative juices flowing. Have been directed to it so many times when I'm searching for conversions. See a great picture, click on it and bam there it is again An "Evil?" projects log.. Didn't I already read that one??? Hmmm guess I missed something again | |

| Thanks Aéquitas! The kabal expanded a bit more this morning; Sslyth! I bought these when they came out and never really figured out how I wanted to paint the scales. The Carnosaur on the front of this month's White Dwarf was exactly what I had thought of doing but was afraid to try I suppose now that I am COMPLETELY throwing out hope of staying on track for The Monthly Vow I'd might as well finish off my Court models. Madusae and 2 more Urghuls coming up | |

| Very cool, I love their snake skin. I knew immediately how I wanted to paint mine, but I still havent gone to the store to get some (I know 2 stores that still have some in stock, even now).
I'm looking forward to seeing the other 2 missing retinue creatures, they're not the best retinue (incubi are), but as far as models & painting they are pure joy to look at.
Too bad I got no time to paint anymore ,it's been 2 months without touching a brush, I'm starting to miss it. You have to love these silly little models, just how much time do we waste on them ^^.

| They look great ESE. God I wish I had bought these models in metal. Speaking of which are they metal or finecast? Either way they look fantastic. The color contrast is great and the patterns on their backs are awesome. One of my favorite units you've done so far. Cheers! | |

| And three more Kabalites with splinter rifles: I am leaving town for an extended weekend before I go back to work teaching next week. This may be the last little flurry of painting for a little while. I'm going to try to get the Court finished this month and may even try to get my Trueborn with carbines/SC's started next week. I'd like to have my Kabalite models all wrapped up by the end of September. Getting closer to completing this damned army | |

| Okay, I just had to pound these out before leaving for a four day weekend trip: The bad lighting/camera pic don't really show the shading all that well. I slightly repositioned the arms on the two to the right by heating up the resin using a hair dryer. At any rate, I have only the Madusae to paint and the Court of the Archon is done. I'm thinking of converting a second Madusae using the extra head that came with the other. Looks like Dakkaborn and Incubi are next after I get back next week | |

| Finished up a half-painted Haemi today: This was my scissorhand conversion using an old Necron Flayed-One claw thingy. I ordered those way back when they had bits orders for my old 3rd edition army. Goes to show: you never when you might finally get around to using a bit! I am currently cleaning up a Madusae (Finecrap Casting) and converting a second out of a Kabalite torso, Hellion arms, and the robed bottom of an old metal chaos cultist. Pics to follow! | |

| Well I like your paint scheme. I think I have mentioned that :-) I think the violet is really fitting for the dark Eldar range. And looking at your sslyth, man now I want to buy them.... Wonderful paint job for lovely models, I hate you (in a good way :-) ).
Please never finish this project and keep on going!

| Very nice snakes, well done with the snake skin and their pose looks very cool.
I like the colors on the heamy, may I ask how you paint the skin? His baldness is attractive(i mean the skintone)!

| Thanks guys! facelessabsalom- The skin uses the following steps: 1. Russ Grey 2. Adamantium Grey highlight 3. Druchi Violet/ Aggrax Earthshade wash 4. re-highlight with Adamantium Grey, blending up to white - Crazy_Irish wrote:

Funny, I'm actually on the last big push for painting this army, at least trying to get all of the models painted that I own. Our new range was released in November 2010, and it is my goal to get all of the mew range models that I own painted by the 3rd anniversary. Not to say that I will stop there; I fully plan to keep adding new models from time to time and fun conversions. I have a list posted on my painting desk with the models that I need to complete. Off the top of my head: HQ -(another) Archon -2 Madusae Elites: -Dakkaborn unit -2 Grotesques -5 Wracks -2 Blasterborn Troops: -a couple of Hekatrix -a Sybarite Fast: -2 units of 5 Scourges -Clawed Fiend Heavy: -Ravager Transports: -1 Venom, 1 Raider Finale: A unit of Harlequins. This unit will be my transition to getting my Eldar army going

| As promised, the Madusae: The converted Madusae was made from an old metal chaos cultist with scabbard and holster ground off(thank you Dremel!), torso from a Kabalite, Hellion arms with hands from the Hellion arm grabbing the board and right hand from the Venom Wyche rider, and chains from the Hellion kit. Pretty fun to make, and saved $15 while using the extra head from the mini. I had to replace the shoulder guards of the stock Madusae because of the Finecrap casting. Hopefully will get to prime these and 4 Wracks, a Sybarite, and an Incubi that I made the bases for today. | |

| The converted Medusae look amazing! You've really succeeded in making one that is nearly the same thing of the original sculpt, if not even better. Great job, can't wait to see them painted! | |

| Cool conversion for sure, looking forward seeing them painted.
Nobody has done this as far as I know, but a medusae is basically only a floating brain parasite that attaches itself to a host, when i get the model I'll try to make as many conversions on different dark eldar bodies, got some great possibilities for conversions.
I wish I had the will and time to continue my own stuff, so far still nothing XD. I wish I kept painting stuff like you, you're like a machine.

| Plenty of Lhamaean, Slyths, Urh ghul, Medusae... You court is ready ESE! Great conversion on the medusae. I really like the dynamic positioning as she tries to get rid of her chains. | |

| Thanks everyone for the complements on the Madusae conversion. I wanted it to match the look and Sometimes my conversions actually turn out the way that I want them to - facelessabsalom wrote:

Absolutely glad to help! Finished painting the last of my Wracks last night (4). Some of my favorite models in the line without a doubt, may get some more further down the line. Can't post a pic though because the smartphone that I use to take my pics has gone missing for two days now It was on its last leg anyhow and will probably just get replaced this weekend when I have time to sell my soul back to Verizon for the next two years Hopefully I'll have painted Madusae to share by then I hope to have all of my new range models done by the 3rd anniversary (November) of the current DE codex. The following models need to be painted: HQ: -Archon/Vect conversion -2 Madusae Elites: -2 Grotesques -Dakkaborn Unit -6 Incubi -1 Klaivex -Harlequins Troops: -2 Hekatrix -1 Sybarite -3 Kabalites with heavy weapons Fast: -10 Scourges -1 Clawed Fiend Heavy -Ravager(This one was part of my Monthly Vow TWO YEARS AGO ) Transports: -1 Venom -1 Raider Next month I will definitely be painting the Scourges and Grotesques as I'd like to have all of the Coven-themed models done. The Harlequins will be the last unit that I paint (probably December) as I transition to painting my CWE army. This army will of course never be completely done (Come on FW, let's see and IA dedicated to DE!), but my additions will be fun projects here and there. There's darklight at the end of the tunnel

| Completed Madusae and Wracks: I wanted to put some orange runes on the robes but really ran out of motivation. Overall I'm happy with them. I'll snap a better pic with the entire court later. That was the last of my Wracks and Court models For next month I plan to pound out my 10 Scourges, 2 remaining Grotesques, and most likely a Coven Raider. I started magnetizing the Scourge heatlances and haywire blasters. Pics later. | |

| WIP Scourges: These should be done in the next couple of days. Magnetizing the heavy weapons really wasn't all that bad. The plan is to get the last of my Coven units done this painted this month and repair/touch up the previously painted ones. 10 Scourges (I consider these Coven or altered units at least), 2 Grotesques, and a Coven Raider. Next month I plan to finish up the Kabal and Wyche units. I still plan on having all of my new DE models done by the November anniversary of the new line's release. | |

| Always a pleasure to visit your Evil project!
The Medusae looks very good at first glace, I guess a better picture will only show how good it really looks.
The scourges also look nice. It was really nice to paint my first first scourges. They are just such fantastic miniatures.
Looking forward to the coven raider.
