I plan to use the Haemonculus as my warlord most of the time, except against psychic heavy army's were I'll want to rush him right in to the thick of it to use his Crucible.

The Archon is fairly cheap and stays with the 9 man squad, boosting their leadership to allow their numbers to be more of a bonus even with battleshock considered. Also hopefully acts as a good way to help clear small squads off of objectives I want and act as a charge deterrent.

The Haeme seems amazing and gives us access to a fairly potent anti psychic bomb, which I've costed at 0 because it's price doesn't show up in the leaks. This seems really important as psychic seems like it will be common. The Electrocorrosive wip seems like the best option for him combat wise. He also gives my Wracks more toughness, which will make them difficult to take down with small arms fire. I think 60 bolter shots is the amount needed to guarantee they die when they are in range of the Haeme, which I'm very happy with. The Wracks themselves seem quite good in Close combat as well and part of this comes down to this survivability, but also turn 3 onwards they hit on 2s.

The 5 man warrior squads hop in with the 5 man warrior squads in the raiders. I'd probably like Agonisers on at least 1 squad per Raider, but points are tight and I value the PGL higher, though I haven't played with either yet.

Incubi give me a unit that can consistently take out havocs, devastators or other annoying MEQ style units. In some games they'll shoot off to kill these guys while in others they will attempt to stay closer to main pack of Kabalites.

The Voidravens are pricy, but if they both hit the same target with their bombs and scythes they average 9.33 wounds on a T8 vehicle with a 3+ save, which I think is a great for a turn 1 alpha strike.

In my opnion this list wants to see TAC armies, Elite armies, vehicle heavy army's or small hordes that rely on big monsters to do the damage (Demons and Tyranids). What it doesn't want to see are huge hordes of boys or cultists, blob Necrons or infantry guard. I could be completely wrong, but after thinking it through for a while these are my estimations.

on Necrons you cannot rely on dark Lances to do damage to most of their vehicles as quantum shielding will ignore ALOT of it with d6 damage. Blasters stand a far better chance of getting damage though.

otherwise i agree with your assessment you will have an exceptionally hard time against horde armies. But should do well against elite armies, monster armies and fairly well against mass vehicles

What is the go to anti horde unit at the moment? Do we have one? I think the only saving grace the list has against those types of armies is hoping I can hit the horde with pgl and pretty much all my infantry fire then assault with the wracks.

I only ask because I'd like to make this a solid take all comers list, or at least have a version of the list that fits the profile better if this one doesn't.

So I made some minor tweaks to the list, removing 1 wrack, the Blaster from the 9 man squad and the second cannon from the Incubi Venom as it seems wasted. This allows me to add 2 Liquifier guns to the Wracks and 1 to the Haemonculus, which should give me a little more anti horde without losing much in terms of anti tank or the survivability of the wrack unit.

5 scourge with splinter cannon in venoms with cannons does alot of fire for infantry

I suppose 13 wounds at rapid fire range is actually pretty hefty. I do kind of baulk at the price though, because at 225 points it seems like a hell of a lot. I guess part of that comes down to the fact I'm not used to paying for anti infantry outside of Troops! Part of me says I could be better off taking 2 units of 5 by themselves simply because it would cost about 70 points less and they can deepstrike on to objectives if their anti infantry presence isn't as needed. They do die to a stiff breeze, but I feel like they would be largely ignored. I could even take a single blaster in each squad and get the points for all of it by dropping 1 of the Voidravens. Alternatively I could drop a Ravager and just take two stock units and add a Blaster to the 9 man squad.

Only one wrack per 5 can take a liquifier, unfortunately.

So I've come up with two other lists with a similar idea. I've dropped the Incubi from both to allow more wiggle room, they aren't completely necessary and I feel that what I lose in specialised anti MEQ I make up for in general anti infantry. So on to the lists!
