Flayed Skull>Poisoned tongue for splinter spam

Poison tongue is starting to look alright...

I want to run a large court, and that may be viable. Archon provides minions re rolls, PT gives them re rolls of 1 to wound.

If Lhamean's get a small boost (doubt it bc they were in chapter approved) they could be SO good. 3+ re roll to hit, 2+ re roll to wound. Just need higher AP/ +1 attack

I really like the idea of a small Patrol detachment of Poisoned Tongue's with an Archon and 4 Sslyth in a Venom.

I think with poisoned tongues buffing the entire splinter weaponry I'd prefer them right now.

Flayed skull is just as powerful, but has the 3" move, which is cool, but once that raider pops your back to normal kabalites.

Poisoned tongue will be for more reliability.

Side question: Do obssessions count on vehicles or just troops/bikes/talos? If they count on venoms then poisoned tongue all the way.

That sounds like an vanguard not a patrol detachment.
But I agree, I really need to convince the locals here that we can waive the max number of detachments.

vehicles get obsessions as well (otherwise the +3 move would be useless) but might not be every vehicle

An Archon and 4 Sslyth can just be 1 HQ slot if you choose so.

It's been a while since we've seen a codex with many units excluded from the faction buffs. I think it's fairly safe to assume everything will get it expect beasts, incubi, scourges and mandrakes.
