| Okidoki, so here is a photo of two "sample kabalites".. Something is bugging me about them.. And I absolutely can not point out what it really is. I use a mix of Chaos Black and Hawk Turquoise for the base of the armour, and brush it with two succesive highlights of the same mix adding a bit of Skull White. I then give the whole thing a wash of thinned down Asurmen Blue mixed with a bit of Chaos Black. The helmet is pretty much painted in the same manner, except replacing the base colour with pure Skull White and adding a few stages. In the end I'm quite happy with how it turns out, but I'm not otherwordly satisfied.. Any tips/critics ? Thanks y'all. | |

| I think those models look pretty awesome. The bases look great, go well with the models. Also I really like the markings on their armor. | |

| Thanks !! I also really like the bases.. It's just something in there that's bugging me.. But then I might also be looking a little too much for perfectionism.. I'll probably be posting other photos soon. It's time for non-stop saturday painting spree !

| I am a big fan of the armor on your models. I really like the effect. I suspect that it looks even better in natural light(the photo looks a little bright from the flash). I hate to add to your painting confusion , but it seems to me that it does need one more color to tie it together. The red looks pinkish in the picture from the lighting, but may look better in person. I like the idea of a cold color that complements the Hawk Turquoise and black instead. I hate to suggest more Hawk Turquoise or purple, but they might work well with the the Black/Turquoise/White that you have going. You are definitely on your way to having a beautiful army. Happy painting! | |

| Thanks a lot Space Elves !! The actual colors are in fact a bit darker in real, while the hair is a bit lighter in fact, yes it's pink. Not sure wich color I would add in there to tie in everything.. Have you got any advice on were I could do that for example ? | |

| There are parts where fabric bands are tied around arms/ankles that could make it work. There hair is an obvious spot, though if you are keeping the pink it would rule that out. | |

| Those look pretty good.
Are you dry brushing them? Some parts look a little rough, but overall they look pretty nice.

| Yeah they're drybushed alright, I can't seem to find the time to go for an all "extreme highlight scheme".. Although I'll care to spend the time for it when I start my IC's. | |

| They don't look bad, only a couple spots look rough.
Overall, in my opinion, if you spend just a teeny bit more time, the roughness can be minimized further still and then you have more people trying to figure out what you udid to get such smooth looking blends.
Again, they do look really good, and kudoz to you and some very fine drybrushing skills.

| Hi Candice, I love both of your models, they are lovely.
Speaking as critically as possible, I think you deviated from your painting scheme a little with the one wearing the helmet. It may be the way your camera took the shot, but it gives me the impression that the blades on the knee guards are one color (smokey reddish awesomeness) , and the shoulder and helmet blades another (the greyish color).
The only other thing to consider is that the towel / belt / sash is almost the same color as the bone bits.

| Green is a lttile out of place here. I would surely go for red eyes/marks.
Also white helm...its a Craftworld Eldar theme. Jes Goodwin told they wanted to stay as much as possible from that theme , except the Incubi.

| the only thing that comes close to seeming out of place is how close the tabard color is to the ground color(it could be my monitor but that's what i see). other than that i don't really know whats could be out of place, they look great. | |
