Last I checked, there is no law saying that GW isn't allowed to leak anything until the final week before a codex is released.

If they want optimism, all they have to do is leak some of the changes that demonstrate how they've fixed DE's recurring issues.

Death Guard got a week of reveals in considerable advance of their codex going on sale. Especially given the delay, GW could easily do the same for DE.

Unless of course the codex is just another Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V job and, as with Phoenix Rising, there's very little that they can actually leak that's new.

It's not a law, but the typical GW marketing for a new Codex is -

- On a Sunday, announce preorder next Saturday
- Each day that week has a rules snippet of some kind
- Preorder on Saturday
- Book released next Saturday

Death Guard bucked that trend because the marketing stuck to the original release date for the book, not the delayed one. It's still entirely possible that they could do the same thing for us and we'll see rules previews this month despite our book being delayed beyond that.

That we haven't been seeing reveals already means absolutely nothing.

Exactly this.
As far as I know (though I may be completely off here) GW tends to focus the hype on the upcoming release in each game system. Which means Slaanesh for AoS, and technically still DG for 40k (but I imagine Dark Angels hype will start soon after DG gets released. I'm guessing they want every new release to have their own moment in the spotlight)

GW already started with DA, a couple days ago, releasing a bit of updated lore about them.
