| I've been working on this army for the last few weeks, and really need to have it done by next Thursday.. This is my take on Dan Abnett's Blood Pact, with some changes to suit my tastes and resources. The most obvious change being the brighter red, DA's description is that they wear the colour of dried blood, but I wanted something brighter for the table, and also I felt inspired by the old Action Force "Red Force" from the early 80's which had similar style elements. In the books the Pact use N20 halftracks in a variety of configurations, I have used these in place of Chimeras, and for tanks I have chosen to model the AT-70, which whilst not exactly accurate will be a Leman Russ in game. Alll of this is WIP and much of it has been further developed since these photos were taken: Hellhound Progress Chimera (three of these are under construction) Manticore AT-70 As I don't have appropriate models for my Pact Stormtroopers, my Nurgle Septic Infantry will be making an appearance - here are some of them

| Wow, you don't know how excited this has made me!
I have an 'unhealthy' fascination with Bloodpact... Khorne's always tugging at my mind.
Great work so far and great Nurgle infantry! I look forward to more!
(You see how excited I am? Three exclamation marks! Well, four now!... five.)

| Blood for the Blood God! Skulls for the Skull Throne!
Paint for the Blood Pact! Pictures for The Dark City!Or something along those lines. I shall await them impatiently fidgeting like a child being told to wait for a chocolate bar. Through the swirling madness that has descended recently I can roughly translate, 'Great, I can't wait to see them! Good luck'.

| Nicely done, I'm very impressed at the resourcefulness with the half tracks. The red is a bit bright for me i must admit, but then i got my fingers burned when i painted an old stormvermin warlord as joseph and the amazing technicolour dreamcoat (what can i say, i was 14 and just wanted to use every paint I'd got).
As with Cavash, I'm looking forward to seeing the next stage photos.

| haha funny - I got burned with my DE with people saying too dark, not enough highlighting - so now I have bright red, with a brighter orange/red highlight - you'll see how this looks on the figures tomorrow. I do like bright stuff on the table though, I'm old school RT in my tastes. The current trend for semi realistic IG is not for me, I'll do historical again if I want to have muted tones. | |

| Have to agree with Cavash, the red makes for a very striking, and very effective, colour scheme. And those helmets are pretty cool, they look great Simon.
You bringing these guys to the next Trumpeter's?

| Ignore those IG players. It's your army, you can paint them whatever colour you wish. If I wanted a Tau army painted bright pink with orange blotches and gharish green flames going up the side of their armour, I would. The only problem there would be that I'd have a Tau army. | |

| Oh I will ignore them - when the suggestion was use scab red (sold in tiny pots for $5+) for a 2000 point army that needs to ne painted in 3 weeks of evenings and weekend I feel the scale of the task wasn't appreciated - I need sprays dammit and if the spray red is lighter, we'll have to roll with it. Besides I like bright armies! | |

| Me too. It makes a great change from the stuff I have. That's why I gave my Raven Guard bright green Pauldron trim. | |

| Pff, if too many guardsmen give you flak, you can always anoint them in sacred Devlan Mud. It is virtually impossible to get a bad looking guardsman when using that wash. Personally, I dig the bright grey and red colours, I'm a fan of a more brighter, crisper style than the usual weathered down, dusty appearance. Not to say that grime and grit doesn't look good, of course. | |

Correction, the problem is that you'd be an extra in the next fast and furious movie!

| Thanks, not much more to come tbh - for now just an infantry platoon and some extra heavy weapons. I do have a couple of other units after that, but they are all waiting on bits. | |
