(Dark) Eldar Harlequins In Progress

I've wanted to do a Dark Eldar Themed Harlequin unit for sometime now but wanted to do something unique and different than what I've seen before.

The coolest conversions I've seen in recent times were from Speedfreak's Harlequin Macabre army and taking a note right out of his book I went onto convert my own Harlequin characters.

Instead of a traditional jester feel for everyone, I decided to go the Masquerade/Carnival route and create characters based around some traditional ones.

These are lovely! I would very much like to see how they end up when painted. I'd also love to read fluff for them too if you have a mind ... One doesn't see much about Harlequins, but these look as if they have quite some stories to tell ...

I've attached 3 recolored GW pics to sorta give an idea of the paint scheme. It's going to be a mix of traditional Harlequin colors and some renaissance styling. Pinstripes, diamond patterns, ornate gold trim. Lots of rich, purples, blues, reds, golds, blacks. They will be very colorful, but not as garish as normal harlequins and all in color key with each other.

May I ask where you got the faces of War and The Rogue from? I need them!

Also the Highborn's mask is spot on. Great sculpting! I have an original Venetian mask in that shape, coloured in Red and Gold diamond shapes; I always thought it looked Harlequiny and now I know it's possible.

Lust is a masterpiece - how did you make him?

@Kinnay, the metal masks are from "The Masque" figure from Daemons and the war mask is fromTomb Kings.

@Azdrubael, Lust is a Vampire counts Banshee modified with Wyche legs and weapons.

I haven't built myself any "real" unit of Harlequins yet, but it's great to help inspire with these ones.

Hopefully, I'll get there too with these new potential "death star" rules.
