Caledonian Uprising ETC qualifier 1850

First up, credit where its due and I have near plagarised this list from Shadow's Revenge ministar thread, and I was looking for a way of squeezing in Harlies with some venom spam as I've thought they could be filth from the changes to the Shadowseer in 6th ed.

Have only played 1 practice game as I'm currently doing my honours project but I am quite happy with how it plays

looks awesome dude. How have the nightwing and warphunter worked for you?

I endorse the list. Only change I would make is I would take off the ghostplate and give him an agoniser instead of a spear.

@ Curebdc - played only two practice games so far, though the Nightwing has been awesome. In my game against CSM my opponent had two Helldrakes, but they came on in seperate turns and he went first so the Nightwing vector-danced behind them in subsequent turns and nuked them. Warp hunter.. hasn't had a chance to shine yet, but what I think it will be good at is clearing out marines/crons from terrain with the template mini-torrent.

@ Shadow's Revenge - lists have to be submitted in advance so I'm stuck with it as is. Yeah I'm feeling the Ghostplate is certainly an upgrade too far for the Archon, as if the Harlies get fortuned then there will usually be a harlequin around to tank a 2+ reroll cover save, even if the archon were to fail his SF at some point. The spear I'm taking as an experiment, as I suspected (rightly, it turns out - here is a breakdown of the armies attending the tournament as the TO has compiled the lists http://warhammer.org.uk/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=106956&start=270 - so many Necrons too.. ) that there may be a lot of Nids at this tournament, and he should have ample chances to Soul Trap an MC, in which case if he has furious charge pain token he will go up to S8 ap3 on the charge. For lulz.

How come the ETC qualifier has IA allowed? There will be IA allowed in the next ETC?

Dunno why they've allowed it. I think FW is nonsense to be honest and should not be allowed in competitive events. But DE suffer from it the most, with the myriad ultra cheap stuff Imperial armies can spam that has skyfire to ruin our skimmers so from that point of view I've thought well if I can't beat them I'll join them.

I've never been to an ETC event before, though I did attend the UK GT heats recently using my Salamanders, and they allowed GT there too. Doubt there will be FW stuff at the ETC finals though

FW stuff really has been more openly accepted now. I for one have never had a problem with it, due to the fact that someone had to pay for that model at some point Might as well let them use it imho
