| @LSK - yes I always imagined them giving away a balloon shaped like a poodle to some poor innocent then shooting them in the knee caps thanks for the compliment. @facelessabsalom - thanks very much. They are a fun army to paint and have really pushed my painting skills. Always painted space marines before this project, which involved alot of washes and flat surfaces, so to have to do so many line highlights and different colours is a real challenge for me. It is really satisfying to complete a unit, even though they seem to take forever sometimes. | |

| This is a theme I will never go for -not much into carnivals- But it looks beautiful and it is some very great work! I really can't wait to see that whole army painted, It would definetly win an Army Prezitation! It looks like a lot of work has gone into these , very nice! | |

| It's been a while since I lurked about the project logs and I checked in on this thread.
AMAZING WORK!
I love the new conversions you've come up with since last time I checked in. I love the razor parrots (very clever).
Your grotesques are just... well just... creepy. And so is that Talos. I would never accept balloons from it! | |

| Not having been here for half a year or so, I must say this was a nice surprise. It's just great to see that someone has been inspired of my stuff and picked up where I left of and improved and made it their own. My personal favorites here are the Banshee-Succubus, Talos and Grotesques with a special notion to your Baron and his awesome hat. Now I want to go home and finish up my Talos too, but there is a whole world of Warmachine and Hordes taking my full attention now.
Cheers! | |

| Wow the 2 people who inspired this project commenting so close together @eye of error. Great to have you back. I am flattered you like my work as I have followed your blog for awhile now and count you among my hobby heroes . Your stuff is just great. I hope I can get the grotesques to a similar standard paint wise as the talos, as the more eldar look to the bodies have me worried as to the paint scheme on them. Have to try and see I suppose. @ speedfreek. So chuffed you like my work. Your project log was truly inspirational to me and I still continue to browse and be inspired over what you have done. The banshee succubus is actually my most favourite conversion to date (although i love em all ). She was fiddly to get together but once done i could not wait to paint her and still love how she turned out. @gobsmakked. Thanks for the compliments:). I am pleased you like the new stuff I have done. The grotesques took a while to get completed as I could not get them quite right but with a bit of repositioning and greenstuff I got them near enough where I had imagined. Got a neat little idea for my next razorwing flock conversion which I shall get cracking on soon. | |

| Hey Spellcheck, just wanted to say thanks for sending me to your thread its truly an inspiration :)There are some fantastic conversions here and I think you've hit the carnival theme dead on. Have you seen this guy over on dakka? http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/562145.page Hes going the more harle style, but I think hes got some awesome painting in there. He doesn't model at the moment but I know once he sees your stuff he wont be able to resist! Your use of bits from various ranges is really really nice, I am enjoying the empire bits especially all the feathers and hats, they give your models that nice flourishing look. each of your models has a lovely unique feel which really brings them out and I applaud your creativity. I shall be keeping a good eye on this log :)so that means you best keep posting Also, slightly different but I really loved what you did with the C'tan and heres something else thats similarly awesome! Keep up the work | |

| Hi solar shock. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you liked my stuff. I had not seen that thread before but his painting skills are great so thanks for posting the link. His is much more harlie themed than mine for sure and I really like where he is going with his stuff. Initially mine was going to be more harlie than carnival themed but I just got carried away with it and was enjoying myself too much converting and painting everything and it just evolved as it went on. That ctan conversion was actually one of the inspirations for my talos. My modelling/ painting skills are nowhere near the awesomeness shown on that conversion you posted but I liked what he had done with it and wanted to do a more creepy/ wacky version of my own (that did not involve nearly so much skillful greenstuff work ) good luck with the start of your own harlie force. I am looking forward to seeing the direction you take with it as every project always does something different and inspirational and i know you will enjoy doing it. | |

| Awh what, nah your c'tan conversion is awesome! its so dark and creepy! I love the way you painted the helm, I certainly plan on trying to replicate that is the helm totally smooth? it looks it, but i couldnt be 100%, It definitely fits with your carnival theme and the grimness to the way the face is done is awesome. Also, i meant to ask, thats dark potion? whats that from? I absolutely love that piece, the smokey face looks awesome and I want to use it perhaps as part of a shadowseer, might use it to represent veil of tears. But yeh in my opinion your c'tan conversion is just as epic the ballons just top it off | |

| Cheers . I have a cronos conversion rumbling about in my brain involving the other ctan model but not quite yet come to fruition. Yes the helm is totally smooth. I had to fill in the talos mask slits with greenstuff then sand it once dry to get a smooth finish. Soz not sure about the dark potion question? Which piece do you mean? . Very happy with the balloons too. Couldnt imagine myself accepting one from him though | |
