What ho folks! Been painting up a few space wolves for a future tourny but knocked these blighters up in between. My parrotwing flock. Once i had filled all the holes and broken bits due to the delights of finecast i lengthened the beaks to try and make them a bit more parroty. Once painted in exotic colours they should look pretty cool. I have named them herbert and polly

Herbert and Polly are very cool, nice to see someone doing something different with such a small, simple model as the Razorwing. Your finished Talos is just awesome, the paintjob turned out every bit as good as the model.

Your carnival as a whole is going to be quite impressive.

Hey folks. I am back! The real world has a nasty habit of taking all your hobby time away sometimes. Holidays and work have been keeping me busy but I have been chipping away slowly at things in the meantime. A 5 man kabalite warrior squad has been started but is taking a rather long time to get anywhere on the paint front so I thought I would convert up one of my favourite characters. Below is my take on Baron sathnyx. Let me know what you think. He was a bit fiddly to do but I am happy with the end result.

Cheers guys. I am getting my beast pack painted up at the moment and love the barons rules when run alongside them. The trickiest part to converting him were the arms. I just could not get them to look right at the back and it took alot of hacking and numerous greenstuff attempts to get it right. The easiest part was the skyboard with the raider fins greenstuffed in. I was worried i could not get it to attach and that the join would look poor but it went together quite easily in the end. I always felt the baron should look like someone in the nobility but still have a carnival feel, so am pleased he looks the part halfway through painting my warriors now so another painting update soonI hope.

That Talos looks awesome, loving the Baron conversion as well.
Looking forward to seeing more stuff soon.

Thanks guys. Thought I would post up a quick work in progress shot of my warriors. This is the stage at which I finish batch painting and start working on individual models. The red gets laid down first with highlights. I then go and do the flesh and finally all the metallics. Then comes the fun part of adding all the colours and patterns.
