cool suggestion,

though i realized i could take out the caltrops for blasters, and leaving enough room to add another blasterborn.

the temptation of having 5 additional str 8 ap 2 weapons is too hard to pass up. Although my bladevaning antics are gimped.

List now looks like this. No pieplates will be a bit of a weakness. the extra 4 hwg on the trueborn is because i have 8 points to spare and see no place for it to spend

up a venom blade to a power axe on the archon. His shadowfield should protect him enough so he can get his hits in

true enough, but he will be riding with the blasterborn.

And also, how will i model a power axe?

Fair enough, having the extra str8 Ap 2 weapons is awesome You could use a SM power axe, might be a bit too bulky on the model though. Also if you have points to spare maybe swapping it out for an Agoniser?

I find agonisers situational. Since 3+ sv's rare barring from SM, and it would make the commander a tiny bit more expensive than he has to be. But wounding on 4+ against anything helps. But VB's wound on 2+ which probably has better value for 5 pts.

Buy Succubi and get her weapon - thats Power Axe (Glaive).

A blaster and power axe combi does not sound bad at all. I think i will make the change.

And if it sucks, i'll just call it a venom blade.

Although not being able to deal with high T targets may suck, although technically offset by the amount of blasters the Archon and his Trueborn have.
