| http://us.battlefoam.com/products/%281520%29-P.A.C.K.-1520-XL-Empty.html this case is rather huge, but my army is LARGE. Battlefoam makes the best cases hands down. The pre-cut foam is very well done. Raiders/Ravagers are extremely fragile and finicky to transport, and this case has made it a snap. This is the biggest case that they make; smaller ones are available as well. They are quite expensive, but after considering the amount of money that you drop that kind of cash on an army, time painting up that army, and time that you would spend gluing it back together if you used a cardboard box (I've played DE for over decade, I've made this mistake!) the cost is expensive, but reasonable. this is the pre-cut foam tray for Raiders/Ravagers | |

| I have a big case from Feldherr. It can fit 3 infantry trays and 2 vehicle trays (each of which can fit 3 raiders and 2 venoms, or a raider, 2 vemons and a razorwing). | |

| The 720 is a damn fine case. I had to opt for the 1520 because my army is freaking HUGE! I might have to buy the expandable smaller case that you can zip onto the top for playing larger games. | |

| I use the old GW Army Figure Case and some foam and paper towels - I'll need to snap a picture of it - but it works quite well and can easily carry 10 Raider/Ravager models. | |

| It's been ages since I visited the forum but now I'm back and I'm starting out with the pics I promissed more than a month ago! I know, that's way too late but it's better than never right? This is the exterior, it's rather huge but I will not only use it for the DE layout I have right now, in the future I will order another layout to put away my dark angels (+-4000pts) and one for my empire army (now 1500pts but growing) Here you can see the top layer, on 1 side there is room for 40 wyches, Lelith, 3 hekatrixes and 3 S&I The other side is slightly deeper and holds 12 RJBs and 7 kabilite trueborns Beneath that is a spot for 5 raiders/ravagers and 4 special characters (or something els you want to put away) Next to it, there is room for 3 venoms, 2 cronos & 7 harlequins Grts Nico | |

| I find Rifle and Pistol cases that work perfectly for all my vehicles and big models actually. Local Walmart/Target/Meijers has them for $10, I have 2 carrying 3 Raider Chassis, 6 Venoms, with space for my Razorwing as well, on the cheap, and small enough to carry both in 1 hand. | |

Thanks for the pics Nico.

| Not really sure where to post this, this seems like the best place.
Anyway, what is everyone using for an Army Carrier? I just have some foam trays for troops, but what is everyone doing for the point and spikey raiders, venoms, ravagers and razorwings?! I had just a box and it wasn't working out to transport my army around the local tournie.

| Battlefoam.com trust me, it's a bit of a hit up front, but for around $300 I have a case that transports almost my entire army it's HUGE). I have the 1520XL: http://us.battlefoam.com/products/%281520%29-P.A.C.K.-1520-XL-Empty.html Most armies cam use the smaller version of this case. I believe that it is the 720? I like to keep everything in one case for my armies. It is expandable to have a smaller case zip onto the top of it.
If you don't want to drop $$$$ you could always just buy the precut inserts for Raiders and transport them in any sort of a box/case that you want to. It really saves a lot of headaches.

| The 720 will transport my Dark Eldar, enough for a 2250 pt game. Couple that with extra trays to slot in other games warmahordes etc.) and it does just fine.
A small bus is needed for my Orcs however......

| I'm using a toolbox to store my skimmers, and I was thinking of making an investment in....a bigger toolbox. So far all of my keel blades are intact and my sails are crisp. Now, I haven't put all of the crew members or spikey bits on, so if you've gone whole hog or you want to protect a fragile paint job, go with ESE's suggestion.
EDIT: I should mention that I use a generous amount of bubble wrap, too! Feel free to steal that- I have not seen many people go in for it, but then many people only have to deal with Chimera or Rhino platforms.

| With as much as I travel to my LGS to play 40k, I find myself needing a wwp or more arms to carry all of my models. I currently end up taking my large citadel case, two battleforce boxes for my vehicles, and a backpack for my dice books and templates. Short of spending another 200$ for battlefoam, I am looking for a cheap but safe method of compacting what I carry into easier to manage stuff. After buying some scourge I realized my current method will no longer work unless I want to keep glueing things back together. I'm fishing for ideas or methods that other people use. I need something that can hold atleast five venoms, 3 raiders, two - three ravagers, an rwjf, two units of reavers, and two units of scourge. I've looked at the army transport bags but they don't seem to work as well for de.
I guess my question is, what do you guys use to transport your spikey vehicles that are oddly shaped?

| The method I've been using so far, which I've yet to adapt my Raiders to (though I have all old models, so they're easier to transport) is simply a .50 cal ammo can. Just stick magnets on the bases of the models (I use a single .75 lb pull magnet, two on really heavy models like my Archon), and stick them on inside. Much cheaper than buying pluck foam. | |
