So, fellows of the Dark
I'm considering the manifold virtues of poison, and looking at the flesh gauntlet, realize there is no AP listed for it in the Codex, FAQ, or the BRB. This troubles me. Is there a general AP value for poison, if not otherwise listed? I cannot find such either. Most ranged weapons are listed as AP 5.
The simplest answer is I've missed something. The next simplest is GW missed it. The most interesting answer is poison may have variable AP, which would make sense, especially given our mastery of poisons.
And, why is this important? Why is AP ever important? Consider the flesh (or in Urien's case the ichor) gauntlet. "A model that takes an unsaved wound from a flesh gauntlet suffers instant death (...) regardless of Toughness(emphasis mine).
Consider the additional carnage if a venom blade is AP3. And, if Urien's or a Lhamaean's poison is say, AP2, why then, several otherwise irritating characters become much less irritating.
thank you for your attention!
