Iyanden stuff

I recently tried out painting Iyanden troops in a relatively fast way.





The yellow was done quite easily.

White undercoat, followed by a wash of Casandora Yellow (and once dry applying extra wash where it's needed to shade) and finally an edge highlight with Bleached Bone (or similar equivalent color).

I'm working on a unit of Wraithguards, I've magnetized the weapon arms on them so I can swap them, the same will be done to wraithblades.

That looks really impressive for the speed of it.

I agree. The yellow is made really well.

Looks good, especially for something you are able to do quickly. The yellow comes out well. And if you want to go back later and spend more time on the heads, weapons, etc. you can.

Anyhow, finished the Wraithguard the other day, but had an incident with frosting, managed to restore him (sort of) today.

That is a great looking model! Glad you have such a fast technique to make more.

I know the Serpent "lacks" blue, but I am leaving this one without it, more will follow.

Iyanden is my favorite Eldar Craftworld, but you need Prince Yriel! You don't need to use him but it's IYANDEN! I need a Yriel to look at!

I a liking the army, but the serpent looks weird, but maybe it's just the lack of blue, but if you like it go with it

I did decided yesterday to add blue to it by the weekend~

I have Yriel, he is actually the reason of my choice of craftworld to be honest!

Great looking Wraithguard, seeing how quick their painting process is! Sometimes simple and quick is much better than long and steady, the yellow is really well done. Is the spear/staff tip of the Wraithseer detachable?

The blue really makes it pop better and should look awesome with the entire army.

Finished my (not so) crimson hunter!

Stunning stuff! I'm a bit mixed on the red accents(too much like the American flag for me?  ), but the Crimson Hunter is quite striking.  

the serpeant looks better, i like both the wraithknight and the crimson hunter, your making me want to finally get to work on my coven, which i've been slacking off on...

Sooooooo, I've been away from 40K since new years (reason? Getting real sick of Tau...)

After a few months full of Mordheim, GorkaMorka, Warhammer Quest and Necromunda I got back, and I've been looking into my Eldar once again, and actually finished a unit that's been standing on the shelf since christmas, another 5 Wraithguard.

While I was at it I also added some transfers~













So, I have 1000 points of Iyanden painted and ready to take on friendly games!

This army looks really great - what did you do to duel-purpose the Spiritseers staff?
