Painkiller by Judas Priest. That's what ultimately sold me on Dark Eldar. I could not stop imagining a Reaver champion while listening to this.
Ram It Down by Judas Priest is another strong influence for me. Always pictured a rift in Webway appearing, then a swift fleet of Raiders lead by blazing fast Reavers and Razorwings appearing to wreak havoc immediately.
In general, Judas Priest (and speedy heavy metal in general) are how I envision my corsair army, focusing on energy and speed. Of course, there are other types of music fitting the various aspects of the Dark Eldar race.

Vicarious from TOOL, that's something Dark Eldar love for me it fits them perfectly, from the voice performance and style to the heavy bass/guitars of the band. Pure evil DE music.

Disclaimer; This post is about DE in general (mood-setting vids and music).
To me, the Dark Eldar is about power and dark pleasure.. Metal music does not do it for me. In fact, I think it's too human or "chaosy". Sure I could envision a Commorrite listening to techno/synth/death metal/growling or whatever, they like to partake in every pleasure so why not. But that sound doesn't say Dark Eldar to me. If they had a theme, they would have a deep voiced choir and be pretty much instrumental. No mortal tongue can convey their malice...

For true DE mood I am partial to Pain's theme from Naruto, both it and the battle mix make me feel ancient and powerful evil that is cold, implacable, and inevitable. It just feels heavy and solid, and like something that nobody can do anything about and captures the gothic, cold, and dark feel I have for Commoragh;

Raiders filled with bloodthirsty dark eldar slavers zoom across the sky, chainsnares with mangled bodies impaled on them. At the front of the horde, the Dais of Destruction with a menacingly smiling Asdrubael Vect holds out his arms and laughs in glee as they dig through the dead. Then add this music:

Id say its because everyone has their own idea of what good music is, and want to share (myself, I heavily dislike the kind of lightweight melodrama metal that many listen to, such as Disturbed etc, and im not either into the duble keg growlermetal either, so naturally, I wanted to post some of my own favs, which someone else dislikes and so the cycle goes on )

Just came up with the perfect song for my desert raider dark eldar. Its a mongolian band named Altan Urag, who made the soundtrack for the fantastic movie Mongol (about Ginghis Khan). They practice a lot of Mongolian throat singing (which is AWESOME)
