Think we'll get anything in this 25 day advent calendar event?

I thought that was an expansion a la spearhead, planetstrike, etc. If it's a supplement, then yep - up to 11!

This can, theoretically, be done with only digital codices so the FAQ is a non-issue since those get updated automatically. Doesn't make it any less ridiculous.

Apparently, both Escalation and Stronghold Assault are not expansions in the way Planetstrike was. Then again, according to some rumours, Escalation is just mini-Apocalypse, apparently without any modifications to the rules for super-heavies, gargantuan creatures, strength D weapons etc. It just has some changes to victory points and initiative seizing. And Stronghold Assault features fortifications which instantly fold to these super-heavies, but are otherwise almost indestructable to "normal" forces.

Then again, these are still rumours.

I cringe when I think that I might have to know all of these new rules and broken combinations the next time I play a tournament:( escalation+ stronghold+ data slates = a power gamer/rules lawyers wet dream.

Sigh, well at least I was able to make my buddy's day by telling him Dante was getting an update.

Edit: On that note though, the Blood Angel Codex came out right before ours, so while we might not get a dataslate for christmas, don't count us out yet for having an old codex....

Count us out for GW not caring. Lol.
