Army Painter Primers / Shades Empty
PostSubject: Army Painter Primers / Shades   Army Painter Primers / Shades I_icon_minitimeFri Mar 07 2014, 13:40

I'm tempted to switch to Army Painter primers and shades. Has anyone used these with success, priming in one of their colors, then dipping in one of their shades? I'm curious as to the results v. layering colors as I do normally. The Army Painter website would have you believe the result is great, but they're website has to show best case scenario to sell product right?

I tried one of their dips a few years ago and have to say I wasn't too impressed. Not sure that I used it properly though so your results might be different.

I do however use their colour primer sprays and warpaints, which I like very much.

I haven't used their dips, but I like their primer

I like the primer and their quickshades (washes).
I've never tried dipping, but from what I understand most dips require re-highlighting (whereas a good wash doesn't) so, the lazy in me sticks to washes Wink

Huge fan of their primer-it is the most consistent from can to can that I have used.
I'm pretty meh on the idea of dipping in general, but have no experience with the AP dips.
