PostSubject: Skyshield Tactics   Skyshield Tactics I_icon_minitimeMon Mar 17 2014, 22:24

Im thinking of running a list that looks like this...

Haemie shattershard, VB
Haemie Liquifier, VB
Jetseer

3x
5 Wracks Liquifier, Venom, SC

2x
3 Windrider

20 Warrior 2SC, Sybarite

2x
9 Reavers Mushkilla config

2x
Ravagers

3 War Walkers

Skyshield Landing Pad

I plan on deploying the Pad 4" past the DZ slightly off-center. Warriors and anything that i cant hide goes on the Pad. Does anyone have any thoughts on this tactic?

The problem I might see is having everything on the pad is a tempting target for large blasts. Ok, they're not THAT common outside certain armies, but a decent blast or barrage could do damage even without the pads save.

Isn't it a thing that in order to deploy in/on fortifications, they have to be entirely in your DZ?
Otherwise looks like fun, always happy to see Wracks and Reavers! Haemies giving pain tokens to reavers, or kabalite blob, or?

I believe you can deploy the pad forward, and still occupy the pad behind the line. I planned on giving one token to reavers, and deploy them in terrain. The jetseer unit is on the pad behind the warrior line. Warriors split 10 men on top of pad, 10 below in cover. Both haemies join the blob, and they get a token. I am concerned about density. If i see barrage, i can just deploy more spread out. Anyone tried 2 hexrifles in a blob before?

P.121 of the rulebook, I guess it says the fortification only needs to be entirely in your deployment zone if it's a building.
Fair enough.
