The Monthly Vow, April 2014 - those Imperial Fools are back

Yes, it's April already, and no joke - Wilfred Brimley is the new enemy:

When you have stopped laughing enough, you can focus your attention on the various other new stormtroopers, Taurox, Hydras and Wyverns that will soon be plaguing a tabletop near you.  Warm up the liquifiers, denizens, it's BBQ time!

So, what are you going to paint this month? Make a vow of what you hope to achieve during April and if successful, you will be rewarded with your name highlighted in a  specially-trademarked Commorraghan purple, brewed exclusively for TDC!

And don't forget to feed the beasts with pics of your progress!

World Eaters: 5 Cataphractii, 5 Tactical Marines, 1 Apothacary
Dark Eldar: 1 wreck marker, 3 Kabalites/Trueborn with Splinter Cannons,  2 Blasterborn
If time:
-Finish assembly of my next 3 World Eaters Scimitar jetbikes
-Assemble 30K WE's Contemptor Dread with assault cannon

Count Adhemar: Finish Trueborn unit from last month (4),probably a Crisis suit or three w/ drones.

-Finish assembly of my next 3 World Eaters Scimitar jetbikes

I'm going to get the most out of my low-budget spring break by getting more paint in the Kabalite/Trueborn with splinter cannons tomorrow. The gold trim on the Cataphractii really started to tee me off today   

Hmmmm

does finishing my first unit of Kabalite warriors count? Or does it have to be substantial?

Barring anymore "kiddie issues" I would hope to finish:

- 10 Kabalite warriors (5 already done now!)
- 10 Wyches
- 3 Reavers

"Bonus points" for me (from me!) if I get the Raider done too!

Going to finish my Trueborn unit from last month (5 down, 4 to go). After that I think I'm going to paint up a Tau Crisis Suit unit and some drones.

Hoping to assemble the Blasterborn tonight, possibly start paint early this week. Nice to put my DE ahead of my World Eaters for once.

I'm half-tempted to keep painting DE after these are done....My World Eaters have all of the monthly challenges done through June, I just wanted to get the jump on them to finish that army by the end of June. These DE are almost done though.........

A layer of Dulcote tomorrow and the gore splatter treatment and the 5 Tactical Marines and Apothecary will be done   

After painting up the two blasterborn I should have time to assemble the Scimitar jetbikes and Contemptor    

I don't want to jinx it, but that would be two months in a row of actually finishing vows

I'm about a third of the way through painting the 2 blasterborn. Hope to have pics up by this weekend  

Even more bonus material, Contemptor assembled, primed, and extra weapons magnetized!

Monthly Vow for April is all wrapped up! I need to take a break and just glue new stuff together to paint next month for this next week.   

3 Crisis Suits completed and working on their Drones, which are nearly done. Will get some pictures up at the weekend.
