IA 13 due this summer, without DE(?)

In case you have been holding your breath hoping that the next IA book - once they stop playing with 30K long enough to produce it - would be for DE

I posted quite a lot of this in the Forgeworld open day, but I went through the notes i made and had missed out a few things and i thought it would be good to get its own thread.
IA13 is called War Machines of the Lost and the Damned. It is written by Andy Hoare and edited by Talima Fox.

It will be released in Summer/Autumn 2014. ......

So no new DE from FW still....what a surprise.

It's just more HH stuff with a cloaking device - an opportunity for them to take their existing 30k vehicles and add Chaos bits and upgrades and sell them to the 40k crowd.

I don't see us getting any FW love soon, although when we get our new Codex that may very well change.

Lots of this. I would rather wait until after a possible new codex for quality models anyways when there is greater general interest and they would be in line with the rules of the new dex. Look at the Corsair list from IA11: It was freaking cool by the old Codex standards, now it's pretty weak and subpar.

Sky, sometimes I feel that your hopefulness towards getting a new codex is going to whip people up into a frenzy when we get forgotten about for many more years.

Doesn't really surprise me. DE aren't one of the best selling armies in 40k.
