| I've been working on a Dark Elf army for Warhammer Fantasy recently, and I even have a couple of games in (at low points values, because I didn't have many models ready yet). I have to say that it's... pleasant to play games with an army that isn't vastly outmatched, for a change. In fact, elves rule! I have been playing against Ogres, Vampires, Lizziemen, Dwarfs, and the central European powers of the Rennaisance era, but with wizards, so it's a varied mix. Also, we have been using the rules from the Triumph and Treachery book, and it's more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Good thing too, because a barrel full of monkeys actually sounds messy and unsanitary and it's cruel to the monkeys to put them in a barrel, so that's really not much fun. Triumph and Treachery is much better than that. This week I'll finally have 2000 points ready and I'm going to begin a campaign against a friend's Ogres. It's a two-player campaign called 'Border Wars' that I bought on my iPad, and we're both really looking forward to it. Anyway, behold my (unfinished) dark elf army, the Clan of Bo: Clan Leader: Dread Lady Boanne on her chariot and her two pet Cold Ones, Muchi and Thilda Aoifanne the Sorceress: Mhoiranne the Hag and her Cauldron of Blood: Princess, Bo's pet Hydra: The Keening Bo's: The Bo Guard: The Cross-bo's: I'm working on Aunt Maddie (Bloodwrack Medusa) and and the Bo Piercer (RBT), and should have them finished before Friday.

| Erm, wow! These are fantastic, individually and as a whole. The cauldron and Boanne's chariot are the standouts, but really everything is equally well done. Congrats Agatha. | |

| Holy Dark Elves Batman! My personal favourites are the dragons tail fins and the standard bearers. But as Gob said, just fantastic all round | |

| Very impressive! Great work on them all, that's a lot of spiky evilness. Could we see a whole army shot, perhaps? | |

| That is a very good looking army! The Medusa looks really good, and I love the clean style on the bolt launcher crew! | |

| That's a very lovely beastmaster. Those whips look like they are going to snap at the worst possible time, though | |

| WOW, great looking army! I have an older DElf army that I have never gotten painted, matter of fact I had the same army before, never got into Fantasy, sold off the army..... then for 6th/7th?? edition I bought the exact same army again, complete with 36 witchelves........ I will never get it painted unless I get enthused about playing.... last edition had tooo much bs in it for me, tooo much rules mumbo jumbo..... I do not like a bunch of magic crap ,makes it complicated, I like simple straight forward ...... Again, gorgeous.... hey you should go look up Raging Heroes website, they were going to do a dark Elf kick start.... art looked FANTASTIC(drooling) I did a pledge for their TGIG Iron Empire army--- may use as SOB '30k' figures..... WW1 looking hitech weapons, women in armor.... Cannot wait for them to arrive,,, | |

I can just imagine it. You go to put it down for a painting competition and it snags your shirt and suddenly the whip snaps and you drop it and it shatters.

| The Head Chop Bo's: There was a draich master too, but someone took it. Anyway, I don't know why, but I'm not too happy with how these guys turned out. Oh well.

| I think the painting is excellent.
Perhaps the overly static pose (I'm not a fan compared to a lot of the dark elves fantastic aesthetic) is bringing it down?
The banner in particular I think has excellent shading to it.

| Thanks! And yeah, maybe, or they needed a bit more colour. Maybe the silver bits on their shoulderpads should've been gold too. Edit: Here they are, fixed.

| Awesome looking army! I'm particularly impressed with the clean skin tones. I also really like what you've done with the base of the Bloodwrack Medusa. | |
