| So im fairly new with dark eldar. been into warhammer since 2003. but took a hiatus from 2009-2013. so a lot has changed and i completely forgot how to paint. have a heavy conversion army because i like making interesting models
im kinda going with this whole cyberpunk theme in terms of paint and modeling. cyberpunk has always been my favorite thing and i love the new look of dark eldar oh and im doing drow skin, suck it
pictures will be up soon
Incubi: made from dark elf executioners with minor deldar bits here and there. they go in a raider with a bunch of ravager pieces; its also fitted out with cauldron of blood bits into a sort of mobile incubus shrine. i have to say its my favorite model so far and with the executioners riding on it , it looks like a flying murder carnival i tried to get the klaivex to look like he was breaking apart his demiklaive (or putting it together, depending on what). not a very good combat pose but looks cool on the raider.
my haemonculus is just a regular finecast haemy. i wasnt happy with most of the arms and his pose so i cut them all of off and only kept his cube looking thing. now he has new and more interesting arms and a crossbow from my dark elf corsairs for a stinger pistol. he also has talos bits attached to his back to give a sort of archangel look, very pleased with him
didnt change talos much, just added a few minor pieces from hellion bits and the cronos pieces. still looks cool
beastmaster (or for fluff, "dronemaster") squad is made of pretty much pure scratch. i mostly just use it when hellions wont do the trick. i have 2 hellions made to look like cyberpunk hacker guys with raider control bits to make them look like drone controllers. the drones themselves are all scratch pieces; theyll look better painted. fits cyberpunk theme better than beasts and was hell of a lot cheaper than buying 10-12 finecast crap models at 18 bucks a pop
working on razrowing fighter still. not sure if i want it to be a void raven or razoriwng; main thing thats holding me up on finishing it since i want to do some conversion if it will be the latter. right now the only idea im sure i will do for either one is putting an led in the pilots cockpit and glowing purple (or whatever color i make the void lance, which will probably be purple)
haemonculus 2 is going to be made from a brand new unopened old school metal archon. yeah the one with a face on his face. why does no one use this thing for haemy's? basically im thinking of cutting his splinter pistol hand off with a dremel, putting something better on there, keeping the agonizer and giving him some extra arms and talos bits. then ill have him levitating off some sort of anti-gravity disc to fit the "floating" theme the haemys seem to look.
i mean holy crap he even has a little belt with torture tools just like the haemonculus i cant wait
not sure about the 3rd haemy; i want urien rakarth but god i hate finecast
thinking of buying mandrakes and using them as either wracks or striking scorpions. works out either way because i hate the wrack models (those ugly poses) and striking scorpions would kick ass. shame mandrakes are terrible.
the models i have for razorwings are cool but dont really reflect the swarm part of razorwings. thinking of getting necron drones and doing something with them to make them more deldar.
blasterborn just have bubble helmets and large spikes on their backs from raider kits (its supposed to be some sort of doubled hooked thing with penance for sacrifice to khaine blah blah blah). the shardborn are dark elf corsair mixed with deldar pieces. i had to make special bases for most of them, since theyre kinda posed weird . but thats okay, since they all have fanciful terrain theyll stand out as the escort for my warlord.
sliscus i made from the spare corsair; he has a scourge head that looks simple but awesome and i really like it. base is made from a bunch of sliced up pieces; i just used my x-acto knife to cut them to make it look like hes properly "slicey dicey". hes also got a blast pistol attached to his boot.
one raider is carrying wyches; im working on making the venom wych models work for the raider and vice versa for the blasterborn venom
i love the scourge models and i love their rules but i completely frak their paint up. i saw one cool white scourge model and tried to paint mine white. i have learned the consequences. ABORT
i used the statue from the cauldron of blood as an eldar avatar of khaine, albeit more dark and sinister to fit my dark eldar army. he was pretty simple; just attached to a base. i use him as terrain as a "shrine" for when i use sliscus and haemys.
i think thats about it, as i i said ill be posting pics soon

| I like all these models. But my favourite by far is that raider, it's just amazing and looks as if it came right out of the box! Granted they all do, except for that hellion guy with the random floating keypads, unless they're levitating in front of him and he's controlling the drones that way. | |

| Very cool raider, also those drones! I like what I'm seeing here and hope you keep working on it and updating us.
If you don't mind, let's move this thread to the Project Log section?

| Heres the Haemonculus. I made him from the old metal archon by sawing off his splinter pistol off and mounting him on a suitably haemy-looking platform. hes unstable as all hell but miraculously has not yet broken. | |

| Some really cool ideas here, Moon Spider, and I really like the use of the old Archon. If he's giving you some stability issues then I suggest using glue or blutac to fix a coin to the underside of the base. I don't know where you're located, but the British penny is the perfect size and should help keep it stable. | |

| That modded raider makes me want to build one too. I'm too lazy though. Nice kitbashing. | |
